At this point, OMG's pics are the only thing that would keep me from cancelling it. I hope it turns out better than it looks right now. I kept Indy, but I wouldn't go through that again.

Maybe SS will let me use the money I spent on something else...

The current word (as I understand it) is that the Luke from those pics is not the final production piece, but rather a sample for customs that was accidentally displayed.

Given how great the production Christian Bale sculpt looks, I am willing to believe (for now) that the actual Luke won't be near the disaster that those picture indicated.

Cornerstorecomics.com.....$269.99
Alteregocomics.com..........$269.99
Bigbadtoystore.com................$279.99

All cheaper than SS.

......which are all in America. :stick

Just as an example the most popular website in Australia is charging $369.00 - Regular version.

I would imagine its an imaginary term used to distract thousands of Star Wars fans from jumping off moving buses after seeing production pics.

That was my inkling as well, which is why I'm curious if anyone really knows what it is...might lend some credibility to the story. :lol

A customs sample is a real thing. Companies are sometimes required to provide customs officials with a sample of the product they intend to export/import.

Hmmm, well that doesn't do much for me...why wouldn't HT just provide them with a production figure? Why would they go to the trouble of producing a sub-par figure because it's "just the customs sample."

Back to hoping it's all in the pics. It's all in the pics, it's all in the pics nah.

Well after shipping and customs, these sites may still be cheaper for you anyway. :dunno

FYI, saw this in my hunt yesterday - Australia dealer Saga Central selling HT Luke for $320 Australia dollars including shipping to AU... pretty much the same as what a U.S. buyer will pay for the SSC exclusive including shipping.

If that buyer happens to be in CA (sales tax), then you get the cheaper price and who needs another bad Luke sculpt in a helmet!:wink1:

From my understanding a "customs sample" is a piece from a small run that is first in the production process, while the factory is "fine tuning" and making any last final touches or tweaks to the product before the full-on final production run.

Ah, well that sounds a lot more promising!

Hhhhmmmmm.....I'm reading a lot of blind optimism in these answers..
:lol

"a customs sample is something that a company sends through whilst they are making sure that Luke Skywalker is exactly the same as its proto and is every star wars fan's dream toy"

Guys, these sets are done, finished, packed, ready to ship or allready shipping.
Whatever changes were made, were set in stone months ago.
Don't get your hopes up too high.
