Does anyone else question why the MMS T-800 made it into this photo instead of the DX?

He's smaller thant the other figures, so he's scaled. maybe a new TT body.
on that picture he looks so amazing, and gives me hope about the production piece jaja
the hair color looks diferent than in the prototipe pics.
Iron monger have more weathering , so he is a production piece.... hawk eye production was identical to the prototipe, so I can't really tell...
but hope all of them are production

The boots don't look as weathered in the pic above... but aside from that nothing really stands out as being way different from the proto.

Although in a smaller pic like that I can see more of a Hamill likeness than in any of the previous ones.

Is Luke on a standard true type ? He is standing on a thick base but appears to be the same height as Hawkeye

He is probably on a tt slim which is about a cm shorter, that + his slight knee bend and the fact his boots give him no height compared to the hawkeye boots having a heel and maybe having a higher up ball joint placement (like red skull's) explains it I think.

Biggest thing that stands out is that the outfit seems to be made out of completely different material. Look at how it folds around the legs. Looks less soft and more like the coarser fabric in the store display pics.

^ well done. You are right! Looks like they got the pockets lined up as well. Maybe that is the production piece.

I hope so, because that's the best pic I've seen of Luke so far.

Yeah, I don't get all the speculation with that pic. I can't tell it apart from the proto at all and I don't know how anyone else can. Even with that larger pic Luke is still too far away.


edit: I just saw that new side by side. Holy ****, it does appear different. Well, the outfit does at least.

look at the trouser pocket flaps. they are slightly but totally different in shape - its a diff outfit! that is a good candidate for production piece now

Also, it looks like because of the thinner material, the pockets on both the jacket and pants lay more flat.

Who knows, maybe that is still the prototype head, but that definitely isn't the prototype outfit.

Color's better on the "new" outfit. At least, that's how it looked on film and not in those silly publicity stills where it looks like soft suede.

The "production" head on the left definitely has more of an ESB Mark Hamill look, so if that is indeed what we are getting, I will be perfectly happy.

While obviously not 100% certain, I am becoming more and more convinced that is a production Luke.

Could also explain why Hot Toys hasn't released any production pics, due to the fact that they already had and we just didn't realize it.

The stand also has a silver name plate now, like the other DX stands, instead of black plate on the proto pic.

Isn't the production version or the prototype.

Look how soft the sculpt is, almost looks like pixels (PERS is great though). Must be a pre-post-prototype production version for upcoming release ad only.
