Seriously though, I think they're just giving Batman DX12 some breathing room. This time next week we should be getting our Luke on. Then two weeks after that, we'll move to the DX10 Terminator.

At this point, yes, I believe that is a production Luke in that pic. The reason we are not seeing in hand pics is, more than likely, due to a licensing agreement with Sideshow that the U.S. market gets it first. (Note that previous announcement said that the Asian retailer is able to sell Luke the 18th, the day after.)

My understanding is that Indy was the same way. No pics out of Asia until it was out in the States.

Right now all we can do is wait. If it sucks, then it sucks and a lot of them will get returned.

I guess we'll know in a week or so.

I, personally, am not worried.

I got luke coming as well as the DX10 and DX12...all withing a few weeks of each other,,,top of that black friday ,,christmas and the kids b'days

None, as far as I can tell. They have all been from bloggers that Hot Toys uses for free social advertising.

If Hot Toys can't release Luke in Asia until after the 17th, then they can't send them out to those guys either.

If those were actually the final production pieces, I doubt they would have had them removed. If Luke didn't turn out as good as the prototype, then they would want to prepare their customers for that fact. Soften the blow, if you will.

You can argue that they took them down to keep people from cancelling their preorders, but we were going to have them in hand in a few weeks and we would know it was **** then.

Massive returns and pissed off customers is waaaaay more of a headache for a company than a few canceled orders. (Especially a relatively small niche company like Hot Toys and Sideshow, which are built on a loyal fanbase.)

Kinda like their Jack Sparrow? That thing was front and center every con and fair they went to and pics were plentiful.

TBH though I don't think it will be no where near as bad as suspected.

I put up a side by side a couple days ago. It's definitely and obviously a different outfit than the one in the prototype pics, and the head does not look exactly the same.

It does say DX on the stand now to.
