When it comes to creating your own story to make the one on screen work... That's when you know you are in trouble. George doesn't give a $h1t about SW. He proved that by giving us the PT.

Only films that really matter to me personally are SW and EMPIRE. The rest you have to start making crap up for the logic to work. Example 1 for even RotJ. Why did the empire or darth not have troopers stationed at jabbas palace to capture Luke? He certainly new Luke would come to cloud city to save his friends didnt he? Even I could figure out Lukes next move and I'm NO Jedi! The story up until RofJ leads us (the audience) to believe that the empire was in fear of and needed to either capture or kill Luke. ???

There were 15 years at least between 3 & 4. Even believing the droids would still be used is a leap. Are 3PO droids and R2 units that great that they'd be used galaxy wide for over 40 something years? And you can't believe they'd take out some extra rockets?

So what are the new and improved droids in the OT then? No I simply chalk it up to lazy and bad story telling.

I think Yoda just played like he needed a cane and was past his prime. The old master was very much able to walk and be without his cane in the prequels. Kinda of like Palps does in the OT. Palps wasn't that fragile and weak now was he.

Maybe but "Palps" was never flying around like a jack@ss either. He pretty much stayed in line with the character that we saw. Really old guy who just shot electric bolts from his hands when he got pi$$ed off. He didn't all of a sudden become young and fertile again.

That logic fits perfectly with my idea that the best way to enhance the prequels is to pretend as best you can that they never happened. And in my opinion, murder of "younglings" was a community service, so that doesn't help his case.

Well he did fly around in the PT, I just don't think he really had to do much in the OT. He became out of shape and just relied on his lightning!

Ya there is a LOT of problems I guess with the OT isn't there. Did I enjoy them? I would say I endured them is more like it. Kind of like a bad dream. But I've long since stopped pinching myself. They just won't go away will they. Kind of like the hurp!
