I don't get why HT seem to be going from really overly textured sculpts, to then no texture at all on the production piece?

Ok, they add the odd mole and freckle with paint, but skin still needs some texture otherwise it just looks plastic!

Most of the texture they add would be impossible to see at this scale. It's less realistic to add it. Other than stubble, or the random mole, adding certain details like pores, etc. is overdoing it.
