Disagree! I think Sideshow's looks amazing, sculpt, paint job and tailoring all perfect to me, wouldn't change that figure, especially the exclusive head.

I don't really see what Hot Toys could do differently with him? He is definitely one of the better Sideshow figures. The exclusive head was pretty flawless I think.

but, just to be very nitpicky, the nails on the hands looks so plastic... I don't know why the don't do some paint job on the hands

*whistles* I'm impressed that the PERS don't seem to have negatively affected the sculpt at all. I'll definitely have to take back what I said about HT just getting rid of the feature. Works great with this guy. Also impressed how good he looks with the Jedi outfit. I didn't think the HS would go very well with it but it looks great. I was really looking forward to this release, so quite a relief it turned out so well.

Those who stood by the figure through the drama are entitled to some crowing but some of them should also STFU with the put downs on Rory or 'naysayers'. It's only a figure and everyone posting here was anticipating it so the disappointment with those initial pics was to be expected. This thread was a ton of fun because of some of that drama and the way it was channeled.

Damn straight. I bet the same applies to the toenails, which are sure to also be unpainted. $300 and we get unpainted piggies. I shouln't have to commission a painter to fix what should be right straight out of the box.

While Luke does look amazing, I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's the best DX release so far. DX06 Jack Sparrow set that bar awfully damn high in my opinion.

That being said, I would be fine with Hot Toy releasing their SW figures as DXs. One figure, every 12-18 months, where they really go all out on, and release a definitive version of that character.

As of right now, Hot Toys' Avengers line is nine figures, and we could possibly still see more. That's a lot of figures over a short period of time for a single license. Hopefully as this line winds down, we will see more of a focus on the SW license.
