Thinking of letting one of my lukes go ( along with the exclusive head) Which should I keep ? I actually thought of selling the whole thing as after just 2 weeks he's still in his box. ( I've looked at the figure but that's about it )

My Luke is also still in the box, but he's just too cool to let go. I will definitely display him once i get a case that will be void of dust.

I thought the same as you but it turns out that the blade that comes attached to the hilt does come out. You just have to give it a good yank to get it out. I know I know....that sounds bad but that's how I had to word it. :lol

I should be a natural at that...LOL thanks

Update - mine is really really in there - took a hairdryer to loosen it up, but nope....too afraid of breaking it

Yeah, at least they offered you funds to potentially spend on a new box. They offered me nothing. But not knowing the hand-crafted nature of these custom made works of art, perhaps it was silly of me to expect anything.

Now, I wasn't asking SSC for payment for drycleaning my own pants. But now that you mention it. . .

LOL, yeah. I think I am still on a high from the smell alone...literally, what the hell do they put in that thing? Very strong odor that comes from the figure initally

Now that I've had my HT Luke for 24hours, here is my mini review:

**cking AWESOME!!!!!!

Couldnt wait more then 10 seconds after I got home from the post office to open up the package.. what a figure! Lots of value for money 150 USD for one figure isnt much in this quality range.. a quick pic

My Luke had a stain on his pants, but they offered me nothing but a full refund, since these are "hand crafted" and, I guess, there is no guarantee that no other pair of pants won't have also been custom made with a stain.

If they even gave me $10 I could buy another pair of pants.

Ah, shoot. Sorry to hear that. I've only removed and set up the BD Luke from the set so far so hopefully the clean version and weather vane accessory are in good order.

Okay, send me your box if it's in good shape, I'll send you this one with $25 cash in it then.

A crisp box is important to me too so I feel your pain. But like others said, you have options. Get the $30 credit and live with the box or take the $25 refund and score one on the bay. It may cost even a bit more but you'll have the factory fresh box that you want.

Aaahhhhhhhh.... Nothing beats the smell of a brand new fig. I can't get enough of new figure huffing :D

Damn...this has the potential to be a world wide epidemic...

LOL - definitely

hey got some PMs asking about the blade - I loosened mine with pliers and a tissue - Proceed at your own risk with pliers

Sorry to hear about the boxes - I am surprised considering how heavy it is - mine arrived absolutely mint - glad I use UPS - never have issues with them

I think you got a good offer for the Box, I know some like to have a mint box but I wouldn't expect a refund from any other retailer collectibles or not, remember they don't see the box the same way we do, neither will your house insurance (mint in box is the same as loose to them) . I think in general (no one specific) people have taken advantage of SSC's returns policy over the years and they've had to respond to it by either offering advise or a partial refunds, rather then taking the postage hit

Never had a box issue with HT stuff. Mind you, I pick up from the store and each has been sealed in the shipper.
I keep the boxes in a spare room upstairs but I'd like to put them on display as they are incredibly cool.

on a related note.. can anyone recommend a good brand of glue to affix the metal lightsaber hook and the other ring piece back on? I tried Gorilla glue but it isn't working so well. Sideshow recommended Zap-Gap but I can't find it in my city... anyone have any luck with this fix?

If all of the parts could be spoken for I'd part it out.

If you part out.. I'd definitely take the belts off your hands :rotfl

Let me know if you decide to sell him as a complete set as I'm after the EX version :)

My Luke is coming Monday. Finally I'll see this great figure first hand. Funny enough I received all the kitbash stuff for him before the figure even came.

I use professional strength loc tite super glue. It's found in Walmart, Kmart, lowes, and Home Depot. If you don't have any of those near you go to a hobby shop or arts and crafts store and ask for CA glue. It's the same thing. Stuff works wonders.

Does it bother anyone else that there's only 1 left hand grip between the two Lukes? If you want to pose one hanging from the weathervane then the other isn't going to be able to hold the lightsaber with a proper 2-hand grip.
