But the actual SS sculpt is great, the face is right, it just needed repainting.

Some folks still think the generic 2-in-1 Superman sculpt looks more like Routh than the first Superman release. In other words, some people apparently do not have the ability to understand that sculpt and paint work are two separate things.

Having said that, many don't have the inclination to get something repainted, and if you feel that way, I would go with 2-in-1 Supes or this Indy over their previously released counterparts.

Snake Eater, the first you have posted is an Arnie Kim´s sculpt.

Hot toys must fix some details with the face, the fedora and the jacket. A few things of the robe reminds me things from the relic hunter figure.

I think Hot toys must put the quality of this figure at the top level, many Indy figure versions out, we need the definitive 1/6 Indy version.

Exactly.... that was the point I was trying to make about what a great opportunity this could have been for HT to do something different and original with the accessories and set pieces...

But since im a hard core Indy fan im still going to get the Hot Toys version.
Like others have stated HTs sculpt is almost there but not quite. Hopefully the update it in the upcoming months.

See to me that resembles Ford but it just looks so lifeless...just Ford looking off into space. The hat looks good but the cheeks are too full and the face looks a bit long. It looks like him but that isn't the best scuplt IMHO. The PF sculpt is the one that all Indiana Jones sculpts are judged by....

I'm still stoked we're getting a Map Room outfit.

I can understand that those of you who have already sunk $200 into perfecting your Indys and those of you who already have a Map Room Indy are underwhelmed by this release. But for those of us who have a stock Sideshow Indy and who don't customize and have had to look at fantastic looking repainted Indys and custom accessories for a year now, this Hot Toys Indy looks amazing.

We've got THE FINGER!!! It's got the Staff of Ra!!! And Abner's Journal!! Those are crazy awesome extras.

I think thats Trev's best 1/6 Indy right there, since the PF shrunk down was sculpted in 1/4 scale which I'd think would allow more detail to be put in to begin with?

But I have no trouble saying Hot Toys has definately one upped me and I will happily pay for theres. Hopefully I can make something back on mine to put twoards it.

This is the only paintjob I've seen that makes the SS version a "dead-ringer" and "perfect" "etc" Ford sculpt. I own several myself, and they're pretty good, but whatever the hell he did to this one takes it a step above any other attempts.

I agree... Trev's PF work far outshines his 1/6 scale sculpts.
