Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Man I was going to cancel mine but looks like it'll be funding my next Rainman figure.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

You don't just get the extra body, but also an exclusive figure stand - are you telling me that's not worth an extra $400? :lol

The whole 'exclusive' tag really matters to some hard-core collectors, and they'll pay a premium for it. The fact that the exclusive edition was sold out months ago meant that prices were going to rise high and quickly.

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't part with my exclusive for $600. If this is a common attitude among folks lucky enough to pick this up, it's no surprise that we're seeing this kind of action on ebay before it has been widely released.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I won't be parting with my exclusive either - only 750 being made. The figure looks great and is a keeper.

750? I thought the US allocation was 250, so that means 500 for everywhere else (ie SE Asia). I'd say that this number could easily mean that $600 for this edition will seem like a bargain within 12 months :panic:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Yah Sideshow has it listed as 750 and I'm assuming that is the worldwide count!! Number is super low either way!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Sideshow's not the only one that's doing an "exclusive". I bought mine from Toys2 and they had a certain amount of special edition with extra body up for grabs. I'm sure other places must of had this as well.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I'm keeping mine. Just want a GoD and WotD now, then I'm set with Bruce Lee figures.

I wonder if the Enterbay one will go the same route.

Interesting - wasn't aware of this...

wow I live in canada and i always buy from toys2. I compared the prices between toyanxiety and toys2, and i choose toyanxiety. There was a difference of $20. If i had known that toys2 offered the extra body i would of choosen toys2:(
Its too late to change now:gah:

Yeh, but my understanding is that the edition size of 750 stands regardless of the allocation secured by each distributor. Sideshow gets (I think) 250 of these, and obviously Toys2 has picked some up as well. So regardless of where you pick this one up, if you picked it up from anywhere you're very, very lucky.

You mean price-wise? No doubt the price will increase well beyond its MSRP, if the figure is as sweet as its proto pics. EB have a solid fan base, but we'll only know once the figure is out and we'll see how quickly it sells out. FoF hung around for ages, mainly because of the second batch re-release.

They aren't all like that at Toys2. Eric only had them on sale shortly since they sold out really fast !

Toys2 as far as I know never pickup exclusives from Sideshow unless you ask him for a special order. He gets his stuff directly from HT.

That (in bold) makes a lot of sense to me. :goodpost:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Michael Jackson Thriller came with 2 outfits and 2 heads, and at the same time HT released a African TT Slim body, they should have done the same with this Bruce Lee because of the 3 display options.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Would an enterbay body work? i mean it looks pritty much the same as the hot toys body?

All you would have to do is mod the neck joint:dunno

Not sure about the ins and outs of MJ's costume kit, but in reality the DX04 has two, not three, readily available display options thanks to the inclusion of only a single pair of pants and white-socked shoes.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

A muscle body will be more expensive than a regular TT though. There is always a chance of anything happening. But what I think one of the reasons HT is releasing the MIS is that if you want an extra BL body, then get one.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The Body doesn't look the same on Arnie's upcoming smiling Bruce, you can't tell for sure but judging from the pics you see the open chest,it looks more relaxed and not tightening his chest muscles like the ETD body.

I guess it doesn't matter for those who want to use it for the white shirt/sneaking suit options,as long as the body shape is the same as ETD it would be just as good i would assume.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Yeh, but it'd be a bummer if the MIS and DX bodies weren't the same, 'cause all the folks who missed out on the exc. then won't be able to pose their Bruce in a bare-chested non-BD pose.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Since it's about the same height as the EB figures i might give the Smiling Bruce im buying the Brown or Blue ETD clothes and display it with the non BD ETD sculpt, alot of display options when you own the EB figures allready with multiple outfits.
