Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Is it true this figure is too large for a Detolf? :monkey1

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Detolf's are for girly man sized collections anyway.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

The background is. But the figure itself is scaled realistically and shorter than the average figure.

The figure will fit in a detolf just fine. You might have problems stuffing the diorama in there though :)

Thanks for the info :thud:

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

True.

Muhammad Ali could have kicked Lee's ass in real life.

I doubt that VERY much.
Bruce Lee was a mixed martial artist and could grapple.
And we all know what happens when a grappler fights a stand up fighter like a boxer.....
They end up losing and looking like complete noob fighters....which they are, if you think about it.

In fact, Ali had a LOT of trouble fighting Antonio Inoki, who was a Japanese wrestler.
A few days before the fight happened, Inoki had a list of rules imposed on him that said he couldnt throw, grapple or tackle Ali....basically, he wasnt allowed to use his wrestling on him!
Like WTF??? :dunno

He was also told that he couldnt land a kick on Ali unless at least one knee was on the mat!:dunno

So yeah, I guess what Im saying is, boxers never do good against grapplers/mixed martial artists.
Id give Bruce a 95% chance of winning.

This was again proved when Couture completely dominated James 'Lights Out' Toney.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

oh dear god, please don't tell me people actually think Bruce Lee would have stood a chance against Ali !?

Yep.
Toney either has huge balls, or hes incredibly stupid.:rotfl
It was also proved back when Royce Gracie beat Art Jimmerson in UFC 1.
Jimmerson was scheduled to fight Thomas Hearnes at the time.
He tapped out because he said it became a point where its like a phobia!

Please dont tell me that people actually think Ali could beat Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee was a real fighter who trained in ALL areas of fighting.
Ali just trained the punching aspect of fighting.
To me, punching is just like a game.
Real fighting isnt like that.
Ali would be just the same as Art Jimmerson...he would tap out in a minute due to being out his depth.

Are you messing with me? :slap
I mean seriously?

Do you or have you ever trained any combat sport ?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Bruce Lee could kick, jab, punch, and do it again, before Mohammad Ali could blink. Bro its something like this, a shotgun can do massive damage, only close quarters but by the time its loaded an primed and good to go, an Uzi could empty an entire clip onto its target. Sheer Speed coupled with power behind it. Bruce Lee borrowed some of boxing's characters in Jeet Kunde Do but boy did he pack his speed with immense power. A man who could kick as fast and as powerful as Bruce Lee could would have taken down The whole of this board before any mod could give him the ban stick...

BTW dont forget Bruce lee was heavily into no holds barred street fighting...

here's just a video of some random Jeet Kun Do instructor

Yep.
I trained in JKD for nearly 10 years and Gracie Jiu Jitsu for almost a year now.
Why do you think Im messing with you?
If you dont know the importance of ground fighting(which Bruce Lee had experience in) then Im sorry, but it seems youre the one whoes messing with me.
Its been proven that grappling/mma > boxing.

Aw, dunno 'bout that mate. I'm all about Lee's fighting style and all, and have over ten years of wing chun training myself - but boxing isn't just punching. A huge part of boxing is in the feet, and Ali could move with the best of them. I don't think it's a clear-cut call either way, but I wouldn't write off Ali just because an also-ran lost a fight in a UFC bout.
