Cant wait to see your pics. I think I saw some where a guy had glued in some rubber stoppers that sit beneath the glass shelf and prop it up on all four corners. Will have to try to find that link again.

But he pretty much lifted the first shelf so that the Bruce figure and diorama could fit in the second row.

BMD, can I just ask why you used the smaller black stand as well, and not just the diorama base? The diaroma base has the nice metal look badge, where the black stand just has simple white writing, so I figured the diorama would be better.

Is this just purely for stability? I thought the Bruce figures were pretty stable when posed/balanced.....

Here it is in all its crude glory:

Just four plastic pieces that were meant for something long forgotten. I've been trying to come up with ideas for a practical solution that will allow me to make all the shelves height adjustable and look a little better, but that's good enough for now.

The reason why I use the stand is stability. For $200+ figures, I am not taking the chance of a paint scuffing tumble.

Some of the bodies have tighter ankles than others. If yours are tight you shouldn't have to worry about shelf falls. My regular body is tight, but the ankles on the extra exclusive body are a lot looser.

I'm the kind of man who likes to cover his bases. I never metaphorically close a door unless I have at least several open, I always have a backup plan, and I never put all my eggs in one basket. I'm hard-wired to use the stand regardless of the stability of the figure. I'm fine with that, because opening the detolf causes it to rattle which will test the balance of everything in there and I think the stands add a nice museum quality to my display.:)

I like it. I've attached a coupe of pics of others adjusting their shelves. I will definitely do something simiar!! I prefer the one with the white brackets that appear to screw in a little. They seem more stable tha the rubber stoppers.

i picked up a spare diorama cheap..so i just trimmed the bottom brown cardboard and fitted nicely..EB's FOF and GOD dios fit nicely as they are

Where did you find those pics? I'd like to know more about the one on the left.

For the life of me, I cant find the website anymore. But I found it after I did a google search not for raising a shelf, but in fact for adding more shelves into the Detolf.

Instead of bookmarking the website (I should've) I just saved a couple of the photos. I've attached all the ones I got. As you said, I think this option is much better, cleaner, and safer than the rubber spacer things the other option had.

I am hoping I can find some of these white bracket things or something similar at my local hardware store!!

Yes, that's kind of what I had in mind, but I had no idea what I could use. It looks like the horizontal bars that normally hold up the shelves were removed too, doesn't it? That could work out really well. I'm going to the store today to see what I can find.

Ordered one of these today along with an extra body.

It's been a few years since I bought any high end 1:6 figures but my finances have improved somewhat in recent months so I decided to treat myself.

No, the original bars that hold up the original shelves are still there. You can see the orginal 3 bars inbetween some of the white brackets. All they did was add some more shelves between the original bars.

I might just add four of those brackets on each corner of the second shelf (from top) to raise the top row. That should be enought to fit the diorama. I still dont like that in order to fit the base, you need to rotate it slightly (see pic). Looks a little off centre, but I need to tone down my OCD tendencies! :)

Exactly why I started buying these figures! Never bought one until recently, and started with a bang with DX04, DX05, DX06, DX08, and DX09 in one hit :) Now I really am hooked!!!

Congrats on DX04, DX06, DX08 and DX09! Commiserations on DX05.

yeah, I keep hearing that a lot of people werent happy with the DX05 Indy. But maybe cos I'm new to Hot Toys, but I think it looks awesome. Regarding the face sculpt, I think it's the eye area that is the main problem. Some custom pics of the eyeliner being removed or minimised makes a HUGE difference.

But as it is, the figure and its accessories etc, I couldnt be happier!

Maybe once I get more Hot Toys figs etc I'll be more discerning. But for now, I'm just an ecstatic noob :)
