I did the modification described here:

https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tuto...f-modification-adding-additional-shelves.html

I used the King Chain 3/16 wire rope clips. My shelves are a little short for the detolf (both of mine are like that, so I imagine everyone else's is too), so the the shelf doesn't sit on the clips as much as I'd like, but it seems very secure otherwise.

If this set up holds up well, then I'll consider custom shelves that are longer and further modifications to make the detolf fully adjustable.

I should add that I found nothing like the wire net connecting joints. I brought pictures to home depot and explained what they were for, but they couldn't help me.

Thanks for the tip. I've just been using a tape measure to sort of line up the clamps. Will probably go with something that I can use to prop up to get them all even better.

That could work. I'm not sure if those could hold as well as the rope clips though.

I guess it depends on how nicely they sit around the rod and how tightly you can adjust the screw to hold the clamp in place. I'll check out the hardware store in the morning.

This will only work if the clamps:
- have diameter of holes that suit the detolf (6mm rods I think)
- are long enough that once clamped to vertical rod, they stick out far enough so that shelf can sit on it (not just barely on the edge)
- can be tightened enough so that it doesnt slide down the vertical rod

I'll let you know how I go! Here's hoping!!!

Cant believe I'm doing all this just so I can fit that damn DX04 diorama in the shelf!!!

I opened my figure up today and spent a bit of time messing around with different poses and have to say I'm very impressed.

Since I got back into HT I've noticed the PERS system has got a lot of flak but I think it works great on both Bruce Lee heads and it's something I'd like to see remain a part of the Deluxe line....it's too bad that Doctor Who isn't popular in Asia as a Tom Baker figure with PERS would be all kinds of awesome.

The only issue I've had with DX04 is not being able to get the snap on the sash to go back in but I've just taped it so it's no big deal.

Yeah, it did work on him,

Don't worry about the sash, we've all been there and done the same!

I'll probably have another go at snapping it back at some point but I'm not going to get OCD about it as the tape works well enough.

DX04 is my first HT figure since Rocky & Clubber partially for financial reasons and also because I moved away from 1:6 collecting for a while so it's been great to recieve this figure and see first hand how they've improved.

I've also got Deluxe Jack Sparrow and Iron Man Mark VI on the way and Nick Fury pre-ordered so my 2nd HT collecting phase is off to a great start :)

Try using tweezers to align the male/female parts of the press stud on the sash. I have two of those outfits and haven't had an issue with either of them.

Yeah, the DX04 and DX06 are my favourites! I only just got into Hot Toys myself, and caught up with most of the DX figures. DX08 and DX09 are great since I love the 1989 batman, but the DX04 is simply awesome. Plus since most of the time he has his shirt off, I find he is way more poseable as I'm not constantly trying to mess around with clothes getting in the way of hand swapping and moving the arms etc.

Lejuan,
Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a go!

chockey88,
When I made my decision to buy some more HT figures I looked at the Deluxes released so far as well as the ones that are on the way and Bruce Lee and Jack Sparrow stood out as the ones I liked best.

Bespin Luke will be the next Deluxe for me as he's one of my favorite SW characters and it's awesome that after years and years of crappy figures he's finally getting 2 that do him proper justice.

I'm also considering the '89 Batman and Joker but they may get lost in the shuffle as my main aim is to get a full set of Avengers although I'm not too impressed with the Thor likeness and the unmasked Captain America head.
