I really think we'll see some changes, for the better, but regardless, I've always been happy with the sculpt.
And I think that once it's in peoples' hands, and they have a chance to get that hat just right, a lot more are going to be happier with it than they were before.

Makes no sense. But nothing does with this particular figure.

Why would it be a US-first release? Because its an American icon? So are almost all the HT figures we collect -- Terminator, Predator, Iron Man, Batman, Pirates. None of those were US first. Nor will Captain America. So why would it be with this?

I still say they delayed the Asian market delivery to be in time with the US delivery to minimize cancellations. But that's just what I feel, my guess.

I was thinking maybe the fact that they are "sub-licensing" the property from Sideshow might have something to do with it. Perhaps we will see the same thing with Star Wars.

That was my undertsanding as well.
I think, now with another distributor listing this as the 17th, there's not so much doubt as to the release date anymore.

I'm pretty pumped that this will be in hand on the 18th.

Yes there is a FIRST time for everything and this might be it. HT is not "hiding" the figure from anyone- c'mon if they thought it was that bad they would(may) have fixed it rather than this elaborate scheme!
