Devil, if your listening, you heard the man! :lol

OK lets get back on topic.

...umm...

Batman '89 FTW! :hi5:

Oh, you're talking about it more for appearance than function, that could work and would be cool, i have a Michael Myers custom made like that and it is a cool feature.

that would be pretty sweet...mabye if they do a batman returns we'll get a tear-away cowl

I bet if we get a Returns version, it'll be a separate Bruce headsculpt with a torn away collar. Then a second full Batman head. Here's hoping.

I really like the fact that HT went all out on screen accuracy for the cape but I would have been just as happy had they done a single layer of cape that was textured on both sides and skipped the lining in order to get it to drape better.

What is the advantage of doing double layers? Why did they do that?

Holy 15 day old post, Batman!

Haha, yes. Lots of work and real-life issues has kept me away from the boards, so I never got a chance to respond properly. And after trawling through the past two weeks worth of material (which itself is a huge chore - took multiple days, for all the Batman-related threads), I saw no one had ever explained.

Do you live in L.A. Haytil?

Nope, Chicago. Nolan had it right the first time - this is the REAL Gotham City!

Anyone think this will sale out sooner rather than later?

Why would it sell out sooner than the release date?

Other than convention-exclusives, I don't think any of Hot Toys' Batman figures given a worldwide release sold out before release date. Hot Toys knows this is a seller - they will sell everything they produce, so there's no reason not to produce more and thus make more money.

I don't think I'm going to pre-order this or Joker, because I have found that - for every single Batman figure release - a good deal comes along around release time. That's true for normal figures AND DX figures. Pre-ordering is good for settling your nerves if you're skittish, but there's no reason to be. Waiting pretty much guarantees you a better deal, money-wise. If I pre-ordered now, I'd just be kicking myself in March when I see it for $40 less.

So only PPO's usually sell out in the 1/6th world?

I wouldn't risk it and I highly doubt you'll find one for $40 less than MSRP unless it's loose, incomplete, damaged or all 3.

I know the Hot Toys Ghost Rider is not exactly as popular as Batman, but I can say that while you may not save money by waiting, you can luck out in my case and get GR for just a little over MSRP, but well under Ebay and other remaining retailers that have it. I doubt this will be the case though with Batman.

Awesome. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan. :yess:

Where'd you get that BTW?

Me too. The Wall is my favorite album of their's, with DSOTM as a close second.

I've had Mother so long I don't remember where I got her, but she's part of a double series, the first of which includes the Worm:

I bought Mother as a individually packaged figure, but they are available as sets too.

Pretty steep price at Amazon, but you might be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.

Don't know where you pre-order from but in all of my pre-orders the item always goes up in price once the item is out. I order from CSC and BBTS and the moment these guys hit US soil these things go up by at least 50.00.
