All I can say is that after futzing the first cape to hang down, this is the best I could get it to look open:

With great determination and patience somebody might be able to do better. :dunno

I tried these a while back Mags, what do you think? These are no where near your quality, but I'm telling you it is possible to get the cape higher with some work.

I did this one with my BD a while back as well

I used an exacto blade on my first cape. But as others have said be very careful how you do it, as you don't want to puncture the outer layer. :panic:

Incidentally the cape above is the second one I bought (stock and mint) and the holes were pre-cut. :)

I will never use my second cape for anything but the open cape look. I never want to bend the wires, as once you do the above display never looks the same again. :(

I think you meant to say, If you do any other display, the above will never look the same again." At least that's the way I understood it, by you other comments.
And that is the display Clipper King did in his video as I bought Green Goblins stand to do it as well.

Didn't know his head could look that far down.

Not movie accurate :lol

I would worry about his arms being in that raised position for far too long.

Don't do it Mag :panic:

Nice pics! But that's not what I meant. I know I can get the arms higher, but I'm talking strictly about cape futzing. Once you have done a pose like this:

Where the cape is all folded and pressed in the back like this:

It's very difficult to get the cape to get spread out all nice and flat like wings again.

The cape looks great in your pics, so if that was after using the cape for a hanging cape look, I'm impressed!

Yes. :exactly:

Happy to admit I stole that pose. It's the only cape spread pose that I've really liked.

I tend to agree about the arms being up like that. Having the arm up like they were for the zip-line gauntlet pose left "stretch marks" at the shoulder area. Thankfully they went away after a few days.

I won't be keeping this pose real long. But certainly long enogh to get more pics! :D

He probably circumcised him like the Begins Batman.

No.

This figure needs no moding. I've said it before, and I stand by it.

Just get the torso involved and it's not hard to get a "head down" look.

Great pose. Reminds me the scene where Keaton (or a stunt double) literally swoops in on Napier in Axis Chemicals.

Swooping FTW! :yess:

Me too, thanks for the warning about doing any other cape poses. I plan on displaying mine like this and want it to look as perfect as possible.:hi5:

You're welcome, but I don't believe you'll be able to resist the temptation to try other poses. :nana:

Perhaps guyver1 can confirm whether he had used the cape for other poses for those last pics he posted. Cape looks good there.

I'm sure you can work the cape back straight for flying poses without having to buy a second one lol, just lay some books over the cape fully spread for a day or two.
