Thanks for the compliments guys! My collection used to include War Machine & Mark V, but I'm glad i sold them off for Bats & Supes! Makes for a much more varied collection

@qbomb: they're Japanese doll plastic display cases...pretty good alternative to the acrylic ones I think. If you're interested the case can be found here: https://www.japanbargain.com/servlet/the-2634/Japanese-Plastic-Display-Doll/Detail

Cool - Thanks. $25 not bad as long as the shipping doesn't kill.
War Machine I love and would be hard to get rid of, but I can totally understand letting the V go as it totally underwhelmed me (and I was not expecting that).

Yeah it was a tough decision, considering how good it looked together with VI. But at the end of the day, my desire to get some "balance" (having 2 DC and 2 Marvel figures) in my collection convinced me to sell WM off :(

Stunning. Even looking really hard it looks like a real person.

Spanbauer, nice shots dude. :rock Ditto on what pjam asked you.
Thanks a lot guys! I'm using a Nikon D5000 with a 35mm Nikkor 1.8F lens. Then I make adjustments in Apple's Aperture Software before posting.

I thought I saw on one of the pages someone talking about removing the wire from the cape...can someone please point me in the right direction...maybe a tutorial or something...I've been scanning the pages but can't find it. Thanks!

IMHO removing the wire is the wrong thing to do, it's the key to getting it to look great by folding it at the bottom.

...and sorry, I havent seen such a post. Just a friendly suggestion.

HEY DONT remove wire iforigno will be making a custom cape's to sell for this one .I'd wait or make your own before destroying or removing.. I'ts yours to do with but i'd wait........

I have two of lforigno's capes for Darth Vader and 2011 Batman...they're always awesome...is he for sure making one for this figure?

nice pics Maglor !

are you using the plastic fantastic on these shots ? I love mine but I want to upgrade to a 50mm 1.2 L :)

Thanks. :)

As I said, I returned my 1.8 (plastic fantastic) and got the f1.4.

The 1.2 is too rich for my blood. It's literally 14 times more expensive than the 1.8. And from the research I have done, the 1.4 and the 1.8 are both sharper @ the f2-2.2 range than the f1.2. The f1.2 only out performs the others at the widest aperture.

Anyway, for me the middle of the road is usually the way I go, and that was definitely the case for a fast 50mm lens. If you are looking to upgrade from the plastic fantastic consider the f1.4. [ame]https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Standard-Medium-Telephoto-Cameras/dp/B00009XVCZ/ref=pd_cp_p_1[/ame]

...but I just got two new lenses last week so I need to save up for it..had a 100mm macro and 70-200mm L but I sold both to get 100mm L and a 24-105 L ...btw, what cam are you using ?

I'm jealous. I would love a Macro lens. Right now I use extension tubes with the kit lens for macro. Works pretty good actually.

I have a Canon Rebel T3. :)

BTW, the Bat does eventually get his shape back after having the arms in an up position for a while.

I did help the cowl edges along a bit by heating them up and bending them downward.

Good to know. Thanks.

:lol I know Mags has to be so tired of answering this question.

:lecture Yep besides you gotta remember the cape is ____ing huge so you can make the open cape look possible. So if took the wire out it wouldnt help anything, it would just stick further out. At least with the wire you can atleast try make it lay naturally however much of a pain in the ass it is. Grab the lforigno cape when he's finished with it like me.
