I haven't followed the folks doing them, the customs are all flawed in some way but I liked the head on mine better than others I'd seen so I wasn't going to spend money again on a figure. This HT is just what I could want in every detail so I'm totally happy with what I'm getting.

Stellar. My only nitpick, and it very much is one by definition, is the texture of the suit. I think the suit was actually smoother in the movie, where the cape was rough looking. But, Jesus Marimba if that ain't no thing.

No, they'll either have nothing or some fake logo, but they'd have to pay NIKE royalties if they used the logo and since it's not meant to be there for Batman's wardrobe, they're not going to pay to use it. Most people buying this won't even know that the boots were built up from Nikes.

Then it won't be movie accurate enough since you can actually see the Nike logo clearly on the boots in the movie.

So who's up for a run of movie accurate Batman "Nike" boots? to replaced the inferior HT ones?

You never see the Nike logo in the film. Not even the shot where they show his boot on the gas pedal.

Oh you were joking. :lol

:cuckoo:

Maglor already addressed this, appropriately I might add.

No Nike!

Bruce Wayne didn't make them out of Nike's, that was just a production reality that was never meant to be seen.

I want what we thought billionaire Bruce Wayne was wearing, cool boots, not 1988-89 Nike shoes.

Team Nike = FAIL

Really? Google "movie quote 'we're the same'" then pretty much click every link.

As I stated before, I enjoy both films for what they are. But Nolan's entry is far from earth shattering. As for Burton's flick, he did a bit more humanizing of Batman, allowing him to take quite a ____ing beating, using gadgets to his advantage. A lot more believable than a man going to a secret Ninja training camp to perfect Israeli commando fighting techniques. :lol

Lets try this again. I'd say this is more believable:

Thank you. The suit is smoother, it's made of rubber for goodness sake. It looks really weird that he's wearing a suit that's made of rigid plastic.

You know you're pretty much done when you have to quote your own trolling post and agree with it. :lol

Said the troll with 30,100 posts who takes umbrage to damn near everything everyone posts in this thread.

Pointing out a flaw in this figure is not trolling. I've pre-ordered three of them, nit-wit. It's called objectively critiquing something. Do you do anything other than post inflammatory comments on a toy forum? I really hope you're not over twelve years old.

Wanna see rubber.....watch the ending of Batman Forever when Batman and Robin come running out together in the darkness and all your eye can focus at is Batman's ears bouncing from side to side. :lol

actually the original suits are made of foam latex. Its not the type of rubber you might think. Foam latex is very soft and comes out as a matte finish. they can then add an oil to shine it up if they have to.
Foam Latex feels and looks almost like a Nerf ball. its delicate and can rip easily and deteriorates over time. But the good thing about foam latex is its lightweight. so its a little easier to move around in than say a silicone or urethane suit.

Yes, I'm familiar with foam latex, and regardless of how you paint it it typically doesn't look like this figure's suit. The shiny, bumpy texture of this figure's suit looks like it's made of fiberglass or ceramic.

Well, the good news is at this scale, it probably won't seem so textured in person. These close up shots tend to exaggerate things. I think I'll be able to live with it just fine.

Try showing Back to the Future and all the time travel plotholes in that to today's audience :lol Or get people to have enough patience to watch the first 45 minutes of JAWS and not fast forward to the parts with the shark.

It's a little unfair to claim that modern audiences don't have patience. Batman 1989/Batman Begins. Which Batman film jumps right into the Batman action in the first scene, and which makes you wait for Batman's first appearance?

I don't know, I'd say they're about the same.

- Young kid loses his parents at a young age from a street crime
- Said kid just disappears after the trial of the murderer
- Bruce Wayne is declared dead
- Bruce Wayne comes back after 7 long years
- The Batman appears almost immediately after Bruce Wayne comes back from the dead. Less than a year? Hmm, you say Batman fights crime?

- Wayne Enterprises equipment is seen on television (Tumbler/Now Tumblers in TDKR)
- A Wayne Enterprises Employee states that he knows the identity of Batman.

vs.

- That guy in Gotham that nobody seems to care about. Old money, blue blood, what a rich snob.
- "What does he look like?" Who cares?
- "Weren't his parents murdered when he was a kid years ago?" Who's family hasn't been affected by crime in a city so corrupt that even hookers try to solicit young children? I'm sure he's crying in all that money.

"Good point."

It's not public knowledge that the Tumbler was a Wayne Enterprises vehicle, and Mike Engel never mentions which company Coleman Reese works for, so the public doesn't know that he works for Wayne either. Sure a little background checking on him might reveal that, but the citizens of Gotham are a little pre-occupied at the time....trying to KILL him.

What do you mean people would think Burton's Bruce Wayne's family hasn't been affected by crime? It's weird that you say that in the sentence right after "Weren't his parents murdered when he was a kid years ago?" Yeah, his family hasn't been affected by crime much, well not since they were killed anyway. :lol

Interesting that the pot finds the kettle a wee shade of black, eh? :panic:

:exactly::exactly:

The high rez pics of Spiderman made it look like his webbing was huge and spider was so pronounced.

In hand, the webbing and spider are so thin :lol

Don't get me wrong I love the spidey but I also keep forgetting that my eyes need to readjust everytime I open a HT because they'll never look like the macro photos i've been gawking at for months in this forum.

Lots of options here,

- '89 Batman and '89 Joker KEATON VS NICHOLSON showcase display

- '89 Batman, '89 Joker, TDK Batman and TDK Joker Classic/Modern Batman film display

- '89 Batman and '78 Reeve Superman Worlds Finest display

- '89 Batman and the Batmobile

Hell, Batman alone on a shelf or detolf under a fancy light with all his accessories would even be cool.

A lot of great options indeed! :clap
