Has to be a listing error...

And like Dominishin, I would never go beyond the 45 Paypal claim period for a PO.

I agree, there is all of that there. But it feels like it is something thrown in there to convince the viewer that he had lots of world class training...like "really guys, this 5'8" guy could be a world class brawler, I swear...SEE he has the weights and the armor, and the ninja stars and everything that a good fighter would have, it's proof he must be one!"

I don't think it's them trying to convince the viewer at all. They don't dwell on it, those things aren't necessarily thrown in to establish that this guy is in physical perfection or any of that. They're just there, it's part of the character.

Everyone (well for the most part) bought the transition of this small, funny-man, energetic, comedian,

Without a 40 minute explanation on why he is the way he is. Why should the film dwell on an origin, or that he trains, or where he got his Batmobile from? We have Batman Begins if we want to see that and it's done extremely well. We got it, it's good. In terms of origin for this one they show one small flashback of the very thing that created him, the death of his parents. To me, that's enough. It's similar to the way The Dark Knight Ledger Joker is handled. The more mysterious, the better the character.

Was Darth Vader any better when we found out that he was a whiny 10 year old brat/emo cry baby that killed a bunch of kids? Of course not. He was visually iconic and had a presence. That's all you need.

I think that statement right there should put all this "need for a origin/backstory" to rest. We didnt need Vader's back story spoon fed to us. We didnt need the Batmans, either. :exactly::goodpost::exactly:

I wish they would have included a mouthpiece where his face is squished sideways in his cowl like from :05 - :07 in this scene.

That part has always made me laugh...he tried to turn his head, but the cowl didn't go with him and he was pretty much stuck.

Yeah and then the whole cowl would be flimsy *** rubber. No thanks. I mean, think about that for a second, unless you gave it an internal exo-articulation, i.e. rubber over a jointed head (think Arnold/Dastan/Stallone/Royce etc.) with the PERS and mouthpiece it would never work well. It would be a piece of crap and that's the only way it could work. If not, the PERS and mouth wouldn't be functional. I think we'd all prefer a solid, sculpted head as opposed to a baggy, cheap feeling head that could potentially fall apart.

I think it's fine as is. It's the best possible way to achieve the look of the film suit, and they pulled it off. The only thing this hard resin sculpt does is inhibit the collector of having the cape over the shoulders like in some of the publicity shots but even that may still be achievable.

Who the hell wants to pose him turning his head slightly like he did in the movie? That's what his eyes are for.

It's perfect and I mean that too. A rubber head would be terrible this is the best possible way to translate it in 1/6 scale. There is one way to incorporate the slight movement in the neck but that would mean a joint seam like the Takara neck since the bottom scallops of the cowl have to be stationary. People would _____ and moan about a seam of any kind.

Hot Toys did the very best they could do and nothing is lost because of it other than a 3 degree movement in the head.

Yea, regular ball jointed head under the cowl will do.

Do we know for sure what type of material the cowl is made from on this figure?.

The same material all the other figure's heads are made from?

Oh, this worries me a bit,

**Product shown is not final, pending licensor approval

I've never seen that on any of the Hot Toys specs. EVER. This and the Joker are arguably their best to date. That would be a shame if this isn't approved.

Wuh? EVERY recent Hot Toys had a disclaimer like that, Bruce Lee DX04 had the same exact quote. It's either that or **Prototype shown, final product may be slightly different

Not, PENDING licensor approval. They usually read,

**Prototype shown, final product may be slightly different

Pending licensor approval is completely different. It means that the prototype shown hasn't been approved by WB, DC or perhaps even Michael Keaton yet.

The Joker's specs didn't say that. Jake Sully's didn't. Spider-Man, Alice, Indiana Jones, Sucker Punch etc. etc. This '89 Keaton Batman is the only one that has had this so far. I would think it wouldn't be an issue considering this is available for preorder from Sideshow but the specs still state as much.

Price Went Up!
Guess It Was A Listing Error Anyways...

Yep, I sent him a mail this morning asking what was up with this listing because he is also selling both figures individually. He said it was an error and its fixed now. 20% of 559.99 apparently is due if you use Buy it now.

It's amazing how well Michael Keaton can run and jump with that suit. Even down the alley before (shields). Unlike Bale. Bale looks like he slipped something. Even with a light fabric cape. I also love how Keaton jumps from the steps due to his size. It's perfect. Small, yet so mobile. Considering that heavy cape.

Basinger's scream goes right through you though.

Keaton's suit looks thinner compared to what Bale packed on. Plus he went pretty hard on weight lifting and building muscle, so there's definitely a slight movement restriction when you bulk up so much mass.

Keaton's more slender, and with a suit like the old one, it shouldn't have been too hard to move around barring head turning. Then comes the TDK suit with tons more modifications and Bale is looking a bit more agile along with squating and stuff.

50 pounds of rubber.

I should have been more clear but it was that I was referring. He doesn't run well even when going to get Harvey. That suit is suppose to be lighter than Keaton's.
