I'm actually surprised the T-1000 sculpt that comes with this is completely new. The profile, nose, chin etc. are different and everything. I mean, we know it's new considering there isn't a neck post, but I didn't think it would be an all new sculpt. I expected just a retool.

No, it's not a new head sculpt. It actually looks exactly like the original T 1000 prototype head sculpt. If you look at the ears, you can tell it's the same HS from the original proto photos. So, it's a different sculpt, but I wouldn't call it new. I'm sure HT will make a new T1000 figure, once EB releases their version, but right now, I say they are using an old sculpt.

This figure turned out fantastic imo. Very nicely done. With that said, I just am not feeling that I absolutely NEED to have it. I have the Enterbay BD for 1/4 and the HT T-800 MMS 117(?) for 1/6 already. Maybe I've run my course in 1/6 and my days here are numbered :dunno

I had a deposit for this, but I decided to transfer it over to the Cap PF.

Congrats to those who are getting him though. A very nice figure indeed. Enjoy!

Wonder why the sculpt is different? Can't be that it was reworked for the sake of this figure.

Yup.

Yeah, you ain't kidding. Nose and chin are the most immediately noticeable. Huh. I thought for sure it would the old one with just a cut off neck..

I didn't think of the prototype ...

If Hot Toys releases another T-1000 before doing police shootout/truck chase T-800 from T1, then I will fly to Hong Kong, track down Howard Chan, and slap the taste out of his mouth.

It actually is a new headsculpt. The prototype didn't have that elongated chin, or that shaped nose with lip that this chrome one has. You're just getting thrown off by the ears (the chrome one has vertically longer ears whereas the old proto just stuck out from the side).

Well, if they remake it fine, if not I don't mind either. I'd probably get it, but I'm not praying for one. I am curious to see how EB's 1/4 T-1000 turns out.

I'd be down for a Endo 1/6. I hope it's die cast.
Yeah, the Endo is in the works and they will be die cast. I'm in for a small army of them :lol
DeathAsylum and I were talking about that sculpt yesterday and were wondering if that head would end up getting recast in fleshtone and sold by headplay or one of those type companys. It seems to happen alot lately even the new peter parker head was recast and sold without the scars a day or so after release:horror

Well the pic, pretty much answers our question. Different T-1000 sculpt in the DX13. Just a matter of time and I think this will pop up in a flesh tone on ebay.

Wouldn't mind a 2.0 version as well. I can't afford the old version at the moment, plus if a new one will probably be around the same price as a used old one is going for now, I wouldn't mind an update one like they did with Joker. I guess it will depend how well they do with the DX13 and so far from reviews on here, it looks like there could be a chance.
