Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

I am completely at the mercy of HT's on this one (EB's too) but I can't see myself collecting or even needing much more after this one.

There is another........

Oh dear. I can think of 5 I'd love to display, maybe I could reduce it to 4.

1) punching liquid metal T-1000 (too cool an accessory not to use)
2) my sig pose with the PERS utilised to great effect
3) mid-stage battle damage when he cuts T-1000 in half (semi BD face and destroyed hand
4) Crawling full BD
5) SWAT shootout

Since 1 and 2 are all the exact same ingredients and only a few moments apart in the film I might just alternate one figure between them.

The Enterbay version would be my normal standing version of the full BD look.

Thats a ****ing fortune right there. But I just know I won't be satisfied with one or even two of this figure. I hate having to switch between equally cool and awesome looks/poses.

Buy as many individual parts as you can to save money. If this guy comes with two heads, two alternate left arms, and two jackets, get yourself an extra body, pair of pants, and boots where you can.

Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

For me, Robocop (Robocop, ED-209), Batman Returns (Batman, Penguin, Catwoman) some Terminator 1 (pending Hot Toys making 1/6 Police Shootout, a new 1/6 Endo and Reese) and I'm going to try and quit this ****.

I may drop superhero collecting altogether, possibly selling most of what I have. I say 'most' because Keaton Batman and Reeve Superman may prove too difficult to say goodbye to. **** and then theres the Jokers, both pretty much equally as memorable. And Wolverine and Spiderman have always been 2 other childhood favourites :banghead

I dunno, I'd have to work out exactly what parts each figure would and wouldn't need - it may be just as expensive or even moreso doing it that way.

:lol

I remember doing this with the T-1000. "I'll buy two sets, then buy additional parts to save money."

In the end I ended up buying like 5 full sets. :horror

It wasn't that expensive though. I profited on that ****ty exclusive Sarah Connor T-1000 by selling it off and keeping the T-1000 doughnut head. By the time I got my duplicate T-1000s, they were MISB for like $120-$130 ish.

For this, I'm not going crazy. Just getting one. Maybe two if the prices come down. No way am I paying $600 bucks. Not when I have a **** ton of Terminators already. If it can't be displayed nicely, I can't do it.

:lecture

Agreed! Want the police shoot out in 1/6, not 1/4! After that, I just want to get BD Bale-Connor and maybe Reese. I'll be done with Terminator.

But the question is will Hot Toys allow us to done with the Terminator line:)?

$600 for 2 of them not even including shipping (which itself will be a motherload if I order from Toys2) is a frightening thought. Certainly I don't think I'll be able to get them all at once. It'll be over a period of time.

Y'know, I think as long as I get one at the initial retail that I know no one else has ever opened, handled etc I will be happy enough for it to take as long as it takes for me to buy the rest. Especially if by then I have successfully stopped buying all other lines.

Daaaamn. How is HT doing this??? I have no money left to even think of ordering. Should I order first and save up or replace one of my other orders with this one? Hard decision, considering the other two I have on order are my must haves as well = City Hunter 2.0 and Joker 2.0

I'd say if Luke is worth $300 this is easily worth $300.

Much higher quality over all, plenty of extra's and goodies. Glad I swerved on the DX10 and my wallet can now pull straight into this parking spot. :yess:

I placed my order for the EX - interesting how SSC is doing a $10 domestic flat rate - if that is a new trend that will continue with them, it'll make ordering direct a little more inciting for me. $310 shipped for a figure, with awesome statue piece is a little high to me - by about $50; given its scheduled for June 2013, I'll deal with the cost. If this is gonna be the new price for a DX, I'll be pretty much priced out of this hobby very very very soon

Get out now before its too late; by the time you are my age, HT is gonna cost $799 for a 1:6 with two heads and stand

The least they could have done was offer free domestic shipping at that price. They are still making a ridiculous profit.

100% fo sho.

DO WANT.

Not in 1/4 though.

If done right i'd take 1/4 scale over 1/6 anyday. The EB Begins 1/4 figure is an excellent example.

Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

Back To The Future DX (Marty McFly) Should have been more clear. I figured with the recent release of a Star Wars DX and Terminator DX, I figured BTTF would be the next line.

Sh** I forgot about BTTF. :lol I guess I'll be done collecting for a while unitl those and eventually EB Rocky is shown. But from now on I'll just be waiting....... :impatient:

Wow, I saw this first thing this morning when I woke up at 5 am for work...

While we only have the few pics from EB for their BD Terminator, I think they easily have HT beat with likeness/accuracy. That being said, HT REALLY knocked it out of the park in the accessories/display category.

I was shocked that they included everything so that you could make virtually any look from the last like, 30 minutes of the film. Heck, they even got the metal pole!

I legit got chills when I saw the pics of him getting ready to do the "hasta la vista" pose where he's about to raise the pistol. Not to mention, the awesome grenade launcher in one hand, and pistol in the other pose, which instantly reminded me of the first time I saw the old mcfarlane movie maniacs figure.

This is a grail piece for sure. As of right now though, the 1/4 has it beat for me because I have the clean version and it's my favorite collectible period, so I know EB will rock it. That being said, theres a big enough gap in release dates that I'd like to eventually get both. I do, afterall, have Sarah, the T-1000, and the original T2 Arnie release. It'd be a shame to not complete the line-up in my detolf :lecture

Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

I wasn't expecting it next, but I do want that sometime soon! Maybe it will be DX14, Anakin Skywalker DX15?

This figure is pretty cool, and from a casual Terminator fan's perspective much better than the DX10. LED eye is going to look amazing, hopefully no wiring issues arise.

I guess I was just getting my hopes up there waiting for a Marty in DX. I'm hoping he'll now be a DX15 to pay homage to the 2015 Marty

Yeah this figure is awesome, and I got the DX10, and I pulled the trigger and ordered this guy today when I got up. As this being one of my favorite movie franchises, it was next to impossible to pass up. I'm hoping that wiring isn't an issue either, considering the how complex it may be.
