I know I'm only a couple of years behind the initial release but I finally got around to picking this one up.

It arrived today and I took a very quick look and was blown away by the entire release. From the DX packaging to the figure itself, Hot Toys went all out on this one. Glad to have this one finally!

for that money you could purchase a dotless repaint. because, as they all have dots, there will be no perfect one.

Hey P., here is a question, for you or anybody that could help me with an answer...
If i were to try and paint it myself, what kind of paint slould I try? Oil paint?
Could anyone give me an advice on what kind of paint should be used ???

I really want to see Taskmaster's 25 arnold heads in a picture!. I would give up trying to find perfection. Espicaly in a figure which mimics real human skin. Christ, skin by its very nature is not perfect. However I understand where you are coming from. Sold 89 bats and joker as they where not "perfect" in my eyes. I regret that descion. However my freind now has 89 Bats so i see him when ever i'm round his lol

I no longer have them all to take one pic of them together , but those are the pics from when i had them... There are a few missing, heads i never took a picture of

I'll be frank here, I've never been big on the BD look but where ever I go, I can't escape people saying how magnificent this figure is, so after asking on the MMS228 boards, I got this and now it's in the mail, should be here in less than a week. Better be as good as a gazillion of you people have been saying! :lol

prepare to deal with orange metal parts instead of chrome.
or prepare some 90% alcohol to take the orange goo off :)
i managed to clean mine, including chests and broken arms, without damaging the "chrome" itself or gloss over flesh parts, but some people weren't so lucky. it's better to leave more than less. it's not that difficult actually.

Really? They turn orange after being in storage for so long? Mine is MIB, so it's been in the box for years, I wonder how it will turn out..

errrr nope, they turn orange after getting into goo spreader hands in factory.
you can find more about it if you start from the beginning of this thread and wait for first in hand pictures. soon after the orange goo story is discovered and soon dealt with.

i'm on post #1200 now - no figure yet. the thread had 1200 posts in 4 days since its start, wow.

...

found my post #1406 which shows that the endo eye does move. in vain. everybody will believe it doesn't move for decades more. https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/...llectible-figure-post5068371.html#post5068371

first strange images of a golden terminator...

...and the first, as far as i remember, experiment of removing the blood.

Got rid of some of the blood. Looks more chrome now. Easy too. What do you guys think?

Thanks guys. The chrome paint is on there good and proper. Just a little pressure with 90% rubbing alcohol dipped Q tips and the blood comes off. It's layered it seems like.

I took the rest off.

I would recommend oils, as they have a much slower drying time and allow for better/smoother blending. Just keep in mind that a tiny bit of oil paints go a long way.

I wish to set up a second figure in order to display the second head sculpt.

Is the TTM 20 the best route to take or is there a cheaper alternative?

Is the "ZC Toys 1/6 Scale 3.0 Muscular Figure Body with Seamless Arms" a good option?

Thanks

I just got this in the mail and WOW, what can I say? He's awesome! I wonder if the MMS BD T1 will be this good? I really need the whole set now!

What was wrong with all those Arnold heads? They all look great to me!

The MMS238 sculpts were a bit soft in detail, barely any T2 sculpts have accurate shape of the hair and the likenesses on all aren't perfect except for maybe the DX13. I like most of them but they're not BD Robo type perfection by any means.
