Well from what we have seen in the past, seeing as how we saw the prototype in mid-2014, if they actually release this figure, we can expect a late 2016 to early 2017 minimum. That is usually the time to go from production into someones hands: 2 to 2 and a half years.

Remember that is if they rush it and its minimum. I would expect three maybe four years 2018, 2019 is my guess.

Look I don't know when they are expecting to release the pre order but im 100% sure your 100% wrong lol no way will it even be 2017 or 2018 let alone 2016!. I cant see a 2 year turn around with a DX, sorry to disagree but the DX series has always been a highly anticipated figure regardless of how popular the figure is, they are just so well done and the boxes are well packaged, many collectors froff over it. ide like to see a pre order in January or feb ready for Q3 of 2015 but I think batfan08 nailed it, end of 2015 in our hands at MOST, no way will hot toys make us wait a total of 2 years between dx14 and 15 that's ridiculous

Yeah, and this is why Hot toys announced this in 2012...and yet only a proto of Batman has appeared. Can't wait till this time next year when you have ZERO bats in hand. Once again Ill be proven right.

Eff Keaton Batman, my $300 is going toward...

If this thing isn't out by 2016, it isn't happening. There is no way, after 2 years, already, and with a finished prototype on display, that they're going to make us wait another two years, let alone four, and, since when have you ever been proven right?:lol

The sadness thing is that Cat and Penguin will never happen... I hope Bat comes true in 2015.

You have no idea why or what is going on. If this comes out tomorrow or ten years from now does not mean your right. There is no standard time table. Each figure is unique as is each movie(license). They could have rushed the proto out for the SDCC 75th batman party even though they knew they couldn't get it into production any earlier.

You can't start a clock on a figure from the time there is public image of a proto. You don't know if that proto was done last week or three years ago. And the DX doesn't add to the production time in any significant way. Until a figure is officially announced there's no clock. Because until then the license holder hasn't even signed off on preliminaries of the figure yet. Which is beyond hot toys control. Once a figure is announced then start the clock.

Actually I agree with you. I was giving a rough estimate on what has gone before it. And again I agree about when to start the clock, thats why I gave a probable 2018-2019 release for this figure, given it hasn't even been officially announced yet.

DX14 was released late 2013, right? Assuming this is indeed DX15, HT won't let SIX years pass between DX releases. As bleak as it looks at the moment, end of 2015 is most likely.

Im getting there. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb these collectors are. Im looking on the Hot toys facebook page and all the posts about Darth Vader being so creative for Hot toys...yeah never seen a Darth Vader figure before. YAWN!

True but in fairness a lot of people would say the same about a Hot Toys Batman or a Terminator so that line of argument wouldn't really get us anywhere.

Don't forget those people though some of the Hot Toys Iron Men would be relatively cheap, like the Hulkbuster being under $400 so those people are just questionable :rotfl

The Batman Returns prototype shown at the Summer shows looked better than the Vader that just popped up at the "Toy Soul" a couple weeks ago.

Atleast we got a black armored figure w/ cape and belt in some form or fashion for the last week of December!
