As Long as arkham batman is on schedule I'm happy. That figure will keep me happy till returns is released.

Oh, but... is there an official schedule from Hot Toys???

Really???? :lol

The release schedule is for figures already on pre order, half the AoU figures we know are coming weren't on the list either.

If this figure isn't shown at SDCC, then that's when I will assume it has indeed been cancelled.

Hot toys need to be more transparent and let us know whats goin on, take a leaf out of asmus book and communicate to collecters so we can either look forward to this...or give it up as a lost cause.

Yea because that solves all the problems.

First, this figure was never officially announced to start with. So it wouldn't be on any version of an upcoming schedule.

And hot toys saying anything does nothing but get the same reaction. Look what happened when they said they had no plans for penguin and catwoman. People where not happy that hot toys communicated. It mostly made things worse.

Well, not exactly true...

"Batman Returns, another great superhero movie directed by Tim Burton! We are here proud to present this movie license to our fans!

The 1/6th and 1/4th scale Collectible Figures will be launched in late 2012. Please stay tuned!"

And then, we have this too, for me it should be as a confirmation for 2015...

But, afterall, 2015, and no sign of a pre-order...

^^^ :exactly: This was teased and teased and nothing ever came out of it other than a rushed proto that was shown to shut us up. If they end up just making batman only I will be pissed cuz they had **** tons of time to work on this license and they didn't do ****!!!!

Man, why is this thread still going strong? :lol

I've given up on this line, I'm not interested anymore. If Hot Toys does ever end up releasing anything, I won't be buying. Three and a half years is ridiculous any way you slice it. The whole thing has been handled like ****. If something does happen, it's either going to be one, barebones, half assed Batman figure or nothing at all. Either way, it will be an incomplete line that started with promise but ended up being nothing more than disappointment. I've been collecting too long and personally, this 1:6 crap is getting old. I've been buying less and less. It's just not fun for me anymore and I don't like what the hobby has become. Battle Damaged Robocop and Alex Murphy will most likely be my last Hot Toys purchase, which by the looks of those two gorgeous figures, is the right moment to bow out.

As far as the classic Batman films are concerned, I own the DX 09 Batman, both Joker figures and the Batmobile so I'm happy on that front. I'm thankful we got those and they came out as nice as they did. NECA is taking care of this Batman Returns itch with their 1/4 line so it's all good. I just wish someone would make a highly detailed, collectible Pfeiffer Catwoman figure or something. That's the only glaring hole in my collection.

There is also the other side of the coin where HT rushes to give us a “Ichabod Crane” Batman Returns……..**** likeness!!

Well WGP has a nice catwoman. Im starting to worry about this new policy for SSC of charging an Nrd on the figures that cost +$200. Not paying a deposit was a deal breaker for on this hobby, but now is like:gah:.

I was onboard when HT announced these figures in 2012 and actually had put away $450 ($220 was the price for 89 Batman back then) for Batman and Penguin. I don’t know if I will be onboard should these figures be released down the road with a $300+ price tag. It would be a real shame too as I like many others, were there celebrating that day in Feb 2012 when the announced this license.

One thing I have always wondered, how far did HT get wit the sculpts? Is there a WIP Penguin sculpt on a shelf in HT headquarters? Or did they not even get that far.

I gave up on this a long time ago. It's not Iron Man, so it is not priority. Buy your Tonto's and IC's and be happy.

If HT finally gives us a Batman figure, I'll bit the bullet and buy Catwoman from WGP (despite the price)...

But without a Returns Batman...
