I think most of the color shifts are caused by lighting and filters and film. You would be surprised by how things look in reality and how they look on film can be so far apart. On top of that, a current 1080p tv and/or camera has a much different color standard then old cameras and film. The standards that where adopted for TV and cameras for rendering color did not change from the first color tv until the government mandated all digital broadcasts a few years ago. Some tvs like the Quattro had better color before but the industry standard was horrid.

I have current 20-100mp stills of thousands of props including dozens from each bat flick and it's astonishing how different they read on film.

Thanks, very informative. Whatever the color may be, going for screen accuracy is more important than prop accuracy for me.

I have some photos of a couple of the suits and props from this film if u are interested. Nothing world shattering but still nice. I collect as many prop reference photos as I can from nearly every movie or tv show for doing replicas and costumes. Or just to see how it was built.

This morning I check my email and I see the hot toys a new collectible figure email, that introduces a new batman, so I get over excited thinking it was this one, but it was the Arkham city one... I feel this soooo close!!!

That's a BATMAN. :rock

yeah but if you have removed the metal wire and the liner from the cape you won't be able to make this pose on the 89 batman..
I see a lot of people have bought the tony meis cape..very nice indeed..but..

the metal wiring inside the cape could permit fantastic dynamic pose...and for this reason I have bought 3 orig hot toys batman cape...

1 untouched to permit dynamic poses like as shown in the pic

2 removed liner and metal wire and ruined and weathered little bit to have a damaged look (we have a damage face plate loolike ;) )

3 removed fabric liner and metal wire to have the perfect look.
.
maybe I am a little nerd about keaton batman.. :lol THE BEST BATMAN OF MOVIE'S STORY..

but in this release hot toys has removed the metal wire on the cape and for this reason i have to pass on this..

You don't even know if they did or not, but who knows on the returns cape, either way we don't know that much details on the set, for all we know the prototype will change, and in that sense we could get blindsided by a different method of hooking the cape up, this one might include a spring loaded cape glider but is a different question.

:lol:lol:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl. Are you really serious about passing on this AWESOME figure because of no wiring in the cape?

What? That's insane. The new cape looks 100times better. Wired capes - unless done very well and you like that look - mostly suck.
This Returns Batman figure is going to be a BEAST and you're passing because of the cape??
You even said yourself you have a wired cape already - use that!

I am just joking guys... ahahaha
the real reason..is because I own the 89 version and the return version is pretty the same in my opinion..(chest & shoes a part)
well I am a nerd of TB batman but not so nerd..in fact I didn't bought the bat mobile..:monkey1

Agreed, I am glad the Returns figure wont have the wire. Sure the DX09 cape has it but it cant even do the open cape pose properly because of the limited articulation due to the rubber suit, pointless IMHO.

I got the email notice from HT about a "new" batman figure, and was just sure it was this...Turned out to be that darn Arkham City Batman...Which, in all fairness I love the headsculpt/faceplates on it...But not sure about getting it...

I am picking up the Arkham version, but this is the one I am foaming at the mouth for. Returns is my favorite Batman Movie!

Returns is my second favorite Batman film, but my favorite Batman suit. Can't wait for it. (Picking up Arkham Batman, too, by the way.)
