August 25th - September 15th is the guess I'm gonna throw down on the DX 15 Batman spec pics/preorders. Late August, early September orders will go up and it will ship late 2015, Q3, Q4.

I'm basing this on '89 Batman and Joker from 2011 and '66 Batman and Robin from last year. That and it feels like the right time for them to announce a new DX figure. It's been over a year.

I'm betting late 2015 cuz Returns is themed around Christmas....

I am new to this mixed material thing. Started collecting tailored statues and figures in 2011. And bought my first HT DX in 2012. Always been collecting fully sculpted before, because it was better than the doll like figures before.
Anyhoo what is the DX figure? what do the DX stand for and how is it different if is?

DX is Hot Toys' designation for its Deluxe figure line, as opposed to its standard Movie Masterpiece Series (MMS) line. The DX line is reserved for the biggest pop culture icons and its figures typically come with PERS, more than one headsculpt, more accessories, nicer book-style packaging and a higher price.

Once again... Does anyone knows how many figures HT produces for each model?

Thank you very much!
:wink1:

This is so cool, I own the '89 version which I consider one of the best pieces of my collection, but man this one is beyond that version. It looks very much 'alive' and the finishing seems much improved. I like the new cape, with the new material, it fits the Returns version very well. I'll definitely buy this version no matter what accessories it has. Can't wait for it to go on PO!

Old topic, but I guess the UB really was gold after all and not dark yellow. It doesn't matter, it still looks yellow in the film :lol

That's confusing, it definetly looks yellow when he closes the clasp in 1989, yet there it certainly looks gold. There must be more than one color of belt for lighting purposes, but then that'd just mess with the continuity issue?

Finally... good pictures of the gold belt. This is gonna be another one of those Han's brown vs blue coat things?

Maybe when they made the battle-damaged belt post Batwing crash to looked burned it came out gold and they decided it looked better and kept it for the next movie.

Or maybe he two belts.

What is this you speak of? Hmmm.

I'm going to go with the multiple belts idea. They had multiple hero and stunt suits, why wouldn't the same apply to the belts? Maybe there was a yellow belt and a gold belt.

Look at Robocop. In real life, the suits in the original film they used all had a hideous green sheen to them so that, when the film camera picked it up, it would give off that great metallic silver purple tint.
