Here's my prediction: if Hot Toys eventually gives us a Max Schreck, the internet will break in half.

In the meantime, I'm on the fence about the Returns Keaton simply because I already have the DX09. I'm hoping we get enough cool extras to justify me buying the Returns version though. My number one wish is the ripped cowl version from the end of the movie. It would look killer with Catwoman, and with the way Hot Toys designs the cowl section, i think it should be pretty easy for them to make one as a switch-out.

Of course I would also want Catwoman to have a battle-damaged headsculpt with blonde hair poking through, or what's the point of owning a ripped cowl Keaton? So basically I would want not just Returns Keaton but also Catwoman to be a DX.

And then if Penguin could also be a DX and come with a circus flunky, that would just be the best thing ever.

And yeah, I really do want a Max Schreck. I would have thought the idea of ever getting one was too remote to even hope for, but then Hot Toys gave us Officer Whatsisname from Dark Knight Rises. In order to balance the cosmic forces, Hot Toys now must produce a Max Schreck.

Anyone have any idea how long it might take for HT to announce all the extras for the DX15 based on past experience?

We won't get a Max Schreck, but odds are good we'll get a Catwoman and a Penguin, but not in DX.

I get the feeling we're going to get an alternate ripped cowl headsculpt with this figure. But we probably won't get all that many accessories, at least no more than the DX09. We will likely get a backdrop, for what it's worth. And the whole set will probably be around $300.

Considering the DX12 was $250, this is probably true. I mean we've had DXs reach $300 with the DX07 and 13 but they had extra figures or something else extreme (T-1000 statue in the 13's case)that justified the cost. I doubt the DX 15 will have anything like that, yet will still reach $300...what could the DX15 have that might out of the norm though? Outside of a back drop which will probably be of Gotham city near the huge Christmas tree.

As far as gadgets go, I think he had a line launcher (like the Arkham Games do) and some test tube things that weren't in the original. I'm also hoping we don't get trolled with a ripped cowl head though in some way, like it's an exclusive :slap: that just wouldn't seem right.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but how different is this compared to the one from the first movie? I'm not trying to be a smart-***, it's an honest question because I honestly don't know. from what I can see it looks pretty similar, but i'm sure there are differences.

Can't remember which page of this thread, but somebody posted several good photos comparing the two suits. Essentially, the cowl, the chest logos, the gauntlets, the abdomen, the thighs and the boots are different, only slightly in some instances.

Is the cape different? The prototype at SDCC pretty much nailed the look of the Returns cape.

The question now--which do we want more, the ripped cowl headsculpt or the bat-glider wings? I'm certain we'll get one of them, because it's in Hot Toys' best interests to differentiate this figure from the 89 figure enough to get us all to double dip.

The ripped cowl would be great but if the eventual Catwoman figure doesn't include an extra battle-damaged Michelle Pfeiffer head from that same scene, the Keaton ripped cowl head becomes less interesting to me. The glider wings would be great if there was a way to pose Batman in flight.

I vote Hot Toys give us both.

I have a question though: are extra heads solely available in the DX figures? Or could a non-DX Catwoman figure come with an extra battle-damaged head? I'm pretty sure the black costume Spider-Man figure wasn't a DX, right? And it came with an extra Tobey Maguire head.

That's right, the Black Suit Spider-Man came with an extra head and was not a DX. Neither was the Amazing Spider-Man with the Andrew Garfield head.

If I had to choose one or the other, give me the extra headsculpt. Given their complexity, the glider wings would probably break within the first month anyway.

Ripped cowl and Bruce Wayne head > Glider cape

But really, it should have both. The grapple, double barrel hook launcher, remote batarang, napalm capsule and remote isn't enough. The barebones nature of their Arkham Batman concerns me though.

Oh, that happens a lot. I'll delete some messages.
