I'd be over the moon if it was the 'act 3' RoboMurphy that they've teased.

Exposed Weller face.. PERS. :wink1:

Oh how sweet the prospect would be..

I thought Hot Toys said both Returns and Anakin were delayed until next year.

I'm starting to think DX15 will be one we won't expect.

Knowing HT it will be.

I think we have enough figures sorted to take Hot Toys up to DX20. :hi5:

I think seeing that enterbay posted the t1000 pic on facebook, the new dx 15 cld be t1000

They've been talking about doing a T-1000 for awhile now. I doubt it has anything to do with trying to get a jump on Hot Toys, but who knows?

I don't know why a helmetless Robocop would be a DX and not the regular one already up for PO. Honestly, I was surprised the Robocop wasn't a DX.

U nailed it friend, i doubt if the helmet less would be a dx especially cause they already threw in the chair. So...

Its strange, I desperately want to hope for another Terminator...but on the other hand I don't particularly want it to be a DX. I think PERS, though useful for some scenes/poses, is just creating too much iffyness with the likeness and realism.

The only reason i want it to be a dx is cause of accesories. Off late, non dx figures suck big time on accesorries... Selena kyle, bane, etc.. At least if the new dx can punch in a power diorama like the joker etc, wld be a great buy! But yeah pers is crazy cause i never even touch them...

Hmmm, you have a point. Lets amend - Hot Toys please stop having DX necessarily mean PERS - let it one day simply mean a deluxe package full of accessories and/or cool bases that you just won't get with an MMS release.

Exactly.. Add on diaoramas, display ops and be innovative rather than "Pers-them" up... Jokerv2.0 was a good example (barring Pers)

Sad fact. Barebones but the previously released/announced MMS figures of late are pushing last year's DX prices. I still don't buy ZOd's intricate armor as anexcuse to give him a $240 price tag.

I personally agree on the PERS. Only DX line I enjoyed using them and thought they look great with it is the Batman 89 set. The rest I think can do without -- even better without, particularly DX10.

.

Dont even get me going on cost vs value. Marginal increase in quality for a steep increase in price. Even when they are producing the so "not so limited" anymore figures.
But getting back to point... even dx usually they have a strategy to throw in two head sculpt which prmpts people to buy 2 figures and the free head sculpt is in reality a benefit for them (30pct) more sale. I would like to see more work on backdrops, stands, quality material, the works....
But to be honest the dx 13 is a good example of a dx ... If only instead of pers they had a back drop of some sorts... :( but still since the headsculpt needs so much of intricate work i understand the pricing for dx 13 ... and no complains there.

I have to agree with you, expect I thought the PERS worked pretty well on Joker 2.0

DX09 is a perfect example of PERS done right.

Actually you are right. I feel, If the figure has some long sculpted hair that give a good "hide" to the pers bulkiness it does not throw the head sculpt too off. Also in joker 2.0 the neck was integrated with the head... Thats the way i usually like my figures. (Not including batman figures) for instance the dx 10, while i love it, the side poses are not that impressive, but i think since the dx 10 has to wear a tshirt a integrated head and neck was not an option. For such figures pers is better left out.

Bruce Lee is better off for having PERS - the sculpts aren't perfect portraits, the non-BD one especially, but that's nothing to do with the PERS.

Jack Sparrow is better off for having PERS too imo.

I actually just got a DX04, and Bruce lee does look pretty good.

I forgot about Jack Sparrow DX, that was a very well done figure. The Sculpt is uncanny. PERS looks to not have hindered anything.

That dx04 has been on my missed list for long. How much did u shell out. That one is one hell of a good figure

Damn right. The bulky neck and awkward head connection with visible gaps kinda ruins it from side or diagonal views. And I don't agree that integrated head and neck wasn't an option - unfortunately we are simply in the minority who don't like these separate heads and necks so HT is naturally catering to the majority - but I see no reason the joint couldn't technically be hidden under the T-shirt.

Agreed. I forgot that Sparrow looks good with PERS, I guess i went past my thoughts as I don't have the figure.

I agree on some points, but I think DX10 wearing a shirt had nothing to do with its having a separate head. DX07 luke wears a round neck shirt and it can cover the point of contact between the neck joint and the body well. I think it's because of the muscle body, which has a rubber skin coating from chest up to the neck. The case is the same with Bane, Reeve Superman, and Barney Ross. It's just good that Bane's mask design can "hide" the cut of the neck and head.

NECA gave their little Dutch figures a ball joint head and managed to make it look much more natural than HT, no ridiculous horse neck. HT should take lessons from them.
