How trashy is the cape included with this? is it as bad as all others before it?

Who has custom ones made already to sell?

They made a third party backpack. I kept mine when I sold DX02. Mine just delivered from SS. I’ll compare too. I live 90 min away. Helps next day lol.

Surprisingly it's actually pretty good apparently from the videos I've seen in terms of overall ascetic. It drapes well enough and might hold you over. Though the issues with it is the material isn't accurate to film and the pleats on the shoulders look horrible if not futz properly. I also saw that there is a weird silky cloth under the cape starting at the top of it right under the collar.

It's the best stock cape they've shipped. I find it similar to a rayon material and it drapes well. For it to look it's best you'll want to curl the edges under at the shoulder and push the pleats down to flatten them out.

The material could be blacker and have less texture though which is what my capes will improve on.

I like the overall figure but the armor plates feel thinner and more sentive to posing/ things touching it. One of the left groin plates have a dimple and his cod piece has one too. Put in a claim to SS. DX12 has the better plates and durable rubber. This one is thinner and while more accurate it’s feel more fragile.

I got my SS copies in today and I’ve now been able to inspect 3 copies. One was flawless, one had some minor things like you describe, and the last one has a huge shiny spot on the cod piece, one of the cowls has a big paint bugger right on the ridge of the nose, and the Bale sculpt has some eyebrow scraped off...

Let me know what SS says, trying to decide whether I care enough since this one will be my desk copy for posing and product experimentation anyway.

How did u mod the wrists?

Strange luck of the draw... or is QC really uneven with HT on this one?

It looks great on that shelf/desk.

I don't suppose you have a measuring tape handy?
In my experience any matte black item from Hot Toys can be prone to shiny spots. It can happen on the assembly line or in the box. The paint booger and missing eyebrow patch are maybe pretty minor but I figure with what I spend on figure’s occasionally taking advantage of replacement parts is fair.

Thank you, it’s the last little corner of space I have right now.

I don’t have a measuring tape 😅 I either use calipers or my cutting mat to measure most of what I make. I could lay him on the cutting mat next time I’m using it.

Edit: Added some photos of the offending parts. If I could only afford one copy of the figure and wasn’t a customizer and it showed up like this I’d be pretty upset.
