So Im pretty paranoid about my headsculpt getting stained from prolonged exposure to the collar. Do you guys think it will stain it?
You can always protect the neck with plastic

Isn’t the collar also made of plastic? :huh

I would worry about a porous material like a black fabric staining the plastic neck before I worried about another piece of plastic doing it.

For the record, I’ve not seen the purple plastic hands on the joker leave any stains where they go into the arms. Same with the black glove hands that I have on a TTM body.

I think you’re fine, but do whatever you feel good about.

I’ve left collars on my DX12/armory and QS001 sculpts and they’ve never left any stains. Some shiny spots near the base of the neck are all I’ve ever seen.

I believe HT is using the same sculpt and paint job on the upcoming batman begins figure. That’s probably why he looks so young.

It’s a good sculpt, just not for an older bruce.
I agree, with the dark knight custome he looks way off, he legit could pull off an Alex bateman/Bruce Wayne from Begins!

Am I missing something or did the new Batpod not come with the cape holder? I regret selling my old one LOL.

Oh any painted plastic will stain, doesn’t Matter the figure. I have this problem with my action figures, i learned not to leave plastic with metal and plastic on plastic and viceversa longer than needed.

Not really into Nolan Bats like I use to be for some reason they just didn't stick like the Burton movies have all of these years. I mean, I still like them but I use to be a nut. Anyway, picked up a DX19 cowl yesterday from TA to stick on my DX12 that had blacked out eyes and the Armory faceplates. Still have a Armory bats decked out with backpack on a DX02 stand. I need to dust that one now that I think about it.

Also, it might be time to check on the DX02 that has been sitting in its box for years as kind of a experiment. Thanks for the reminder NIN^

It’s a great figure but it’s the most bothersome figure in my collection with regards to detects. Looking back at the DX12 it seems to be made with better materials. DX19 the rubber parts seem painted? Idk..

Mine feels like the chest is off center to the abs. I can’t unsee it.

Just out of curiosity, has your DX02 Batman ever had the leaky oil on the abs?

Not at all. My figure suffered the broken ankle peg hole in the boot and the glue drying out on the left shoulder pad. Also, can’t really hold its arms up anymore. The fact that the headsculpt works and I can have it in the Hong Kong Extraction getup, brought new life to it. I was ready to just take it to my office and have it on display.

That part just kinda floats there, you can move it around pretty easily to line it up with the ab section.
