I definitely think the sculpt is great. It is Depp. It's the hair that throws everything off. Hopefully HT will change it.

His suit looks amazing, btw.

I think it looks great aside from the hair, and that's one of the easiest things for them to fix.

The pleather suit looks like it might restrict the articulation, but it's not you'll need karate poses out of Edward anyway.

I really like the sculpt. It's more Depp in some angles, less Depp in others.

Looks great to me, glad to see better images Hair is still odd, but in some of the promo shots it looks close to that, but not his more standard look.

Apart from the Medusa-like hairdo (which will hopefully get redone) this looks like another must have from HT. The face, costume and scissor clusters look great, and the way Ed moved in the movie was fairly stiff anyway, so the articulation of his arms and legs probably won't be a major issue.

Does anyone know approximately when he's scheduled for release?

It has the pathos in the eyes, but the chin mouth area, from cheek to chin, is too square and doesn't look at all like Depp as Edward. It should be more like this. Well it's wrong so it should be more right.

They need to get the sculpt right to make this a hit. Not sure about the hair from those pics. I checked out some of the McFarlane Ed's pics and from the front his hair looks a bit beehived as well. It's not really like that in person. A side view might be a better angle to see it from. HT is also missing his black lippy.

Hmmm, I was never too particular with the character but I see what you mean. It's almost like HT captured an older Depp as Edward.

He does look like an older Depp... maybe they were using more current images as reference? Either way, as is its close enough for me. But if some changes are made that improves it that's okay too!

I like it. I HATE the hair, but the rest is awesome. I'll just cut off the hair and add real hair. Sounds like the perfect plan.

Quarter 1 2009. Magazine also says that this has been in development for over a year and is was completed through a collaboration of US/Hong Kong/Korean/Japanese artists. The hair and scissor hands were the hardest part to get right.
