And they didnt get the hair right.....wuzzup wit dat?
Quarter 1 2009. Magazine also says that this has been in development for over a year and is was completed through a collaboration of US/Hong Kong/Korean/Japanese artists. The hair and scissor hands were the hardest part to get right.
Retail is 1,080.00 HKD = 139.206 USD
That's actually a drawing, and while it's VERY good it looks a bit off in terms of the likeness. More like a teenage girl dressed up as Edward.
No likeness rights? Then I hope they don't bring it out for mass production. I want an Ed that looks like Ed. Why bother making a half Ed. They should hang out until they do get the rights and do it properly.
I just heard officially that they couldn't use Depps likeness for licencing reasons, this is an approximation to capture the look and feel of the character.
Looks pretty sweet to me, and considering this isn't 'officially' Depp, it dumps on my old Medi from a great height, but that figure is 5 years old now, and so very much has happened in 1/6 in those 5 years.
If thats an 'approximation' of Depp, then i'm really stoked over this. Alas my priority is elsewhere at the moment however, i will definitely buy it when it's released...for all the people whining about the hair, GET OVER IT. Its sculpted, It wont change, end of story
That won't happen. it's this or nothing.
I'll take this!
David likes men....
You wanna fight about it?
Higher res. Thanks to Tommy Richarson as usual.
=Cocoboloboy;1220797]These new pics are great. Thanks darren and TR! Like Adoptedscot said, it may pay off to "whine" about the hair. HT does look at this site and it is something that's holding the figure back. Besides, that's what a toy forum is for.
