Th cage sculpt looks decent in the 2nd pic, especially for how he looked in the film.
I really love where the flame touches the skull, looks like its actually burning. real nice effect. I wonder if it lights up or anything. I guess they would have shown that if it did. It'd be so cool if the jaw was articulated and his eyes and mouth could light up!
Unfortunately, this is true so long as they are focusing on movie figures. I still think HT X-Men would be nifty, and would probably pick some of them up, they just aren't as visually interesting as guys like Blade and Ghostrider, IMO (and maybe even a Stevenson Punisher). Now if they started doing the comic designs. . .Well at least ghostrider and blade have both got unique looks ..all the xmen are very boring looking imo ..
When I look at the Medi GR, aside from zipper size, I see a tight representation of Ghost Rider. The proportions look good. Hot Toys still can't beat the Medicom thrust.
Definitely need to see more pics that aren't from behind glass. Might've been a bonus if they included Blaze's stunt suit. Sell more True Type's, and make a good display option. And it's in keeping with the eye's looking up, that Hot Toys have adopted.
HT's bike is tailor built for Ghost Riders new stature, and has more detail than Hasbro, which is more suited to the Medicom figure.
Would be cool if they put a couple of lights in the head, changing from orangey flames to blue ones. I like Limit's idea of a transformed shotgun. Is the jaw be moveable?
As it is, Medicom's is comic book and Hot Toy's is movie style. Zipper and buckle detail, jacket, jeans, chaps, gauntlets sculpt all have that Hot Toys touch.
The sculpt does look odd. Semi fleshed out or something. Licencing problems again??? So much more they could do with this release. It could all happen couldn't it, or is it too late?
Nicholas Cage's head looks more like Bradley Cooper .
I want to like this figure, but the Medicom RAH version looks so much more badass, in terms of the skull.
^^Photo from Michael Crawford's review.
HT's version gets points only for the motorcycle and the outfit.
It almost looks like what a cartoon version of a skull would look like instead of one based on a real skull.
still like the medi version better.
Yes it is. Blows away Medicoms cheap scrawny attempt.
