So, anyone think there's a chance the next Rocket will have "real" fur? Like Chewbacca?

I guess anything is possible but I would think it would be harder to do since of the smaller size.

Maybe. I don't know anything about sculpting. I just can't get myself to buy the current one. It looks too much like a cheap toy.

In hand Rocket's pretty awesome.

Maybe you're right. Never seen one up close and personal. But in the pics, he just looks like a cheap plastic toy. The gun is nice, the suit it nice, but the sculpt... He's available almost everywhere, while Groot is sold out most places. I think Groot is a wicked cool sculpt. Probably the best, but Rocket... Damn, I do hope they make him with fur next time. Think they did an AWESOME job with Chewbacca

No chance he has real(fake) fur. They only way to make it remotely realistic would be hand laid hair and that's not doable on a mass produced figure at this price point. And Chewys fur is so different.

Oh man that shipping cost! Nice figure though. My wife loves groot. Such as a great figure. They knocked him out of the park.

No kidding, $17 for a one sixth figure is a fantastic price...could buy more figures if they were all that cheap to ship....

Kind of thinking of getting the two pack now that Drax has been announced but I'd wind up having to overpay for Star-Lord or wait until the Volume 2 figure comes out.

Where did you pull the trigger on this? I can only find rocket available. I would want them as a combo....

I recommend you wait for GotG2 Star-Lord then, unless you're dead set on the long coat. I've seen the Vol 2 designs and Star-Lord isn't changing a whole lot from his jacket outfit. Rocket's new costume is more similar to his Ravager outfit. Also if you prefer big Groot then you should try to find the 2-pack now while you can, cuz for Vol 2 it looks like they're going with little Groot for most of the film if not all of it.
