it looks bigger b/c the fur is sculpted but it's really not

The second pic seems to have more of a 'Grrrr!' expression going on.. with the teeth at the back of the mouth much more obvious, whereas the HT figure seems to carry the expression using a furrowed brow, but the mouth isn't really in a 'growl' shape?

From this set and the trailers, GotG looks awesome. I preordered the set from BBTS just in case I somehow don't like the movie and don't want to order this anymore, lol. I just hope BBTS also includes the extra head sculpt though; the site doesn't say it does.

So is it confirmed if Groot is made out of rubber or not. I hope it's made out of some harder and durable material.
And if not, will someone at least confirm it here for those who will visit the Hot Toys booth at SDCC?

I was wondering the same thing. Groot looks pretty good but I wonder about his articulation. Rocket looks like a "toy" with the obvious joints and such.

There is clearly an upper torso joint on Groot and waist joint. No reason for him to be made out of rubber

And I would bet those panels on his hips operate the same way as on Iron Patriot.

The 2-pack is not an Exclusive, but is a Deluxe set with bonus accessories. If it were an exclusive we won't have it here for PO. And I'm so glad it's available here for PO

EDIT: Yeah, Groot isn't bendy rubber. And I'll bet he'd be among the HT figures that will stand the test of time.

The Hot Toys preview picture showed a tiny yellow prison jumpsuit for Rocket...guess it was scrapped...

I cant take that rumor seriously, why would they make us buy the figure again, it would have to have multiple outfits for each character and a LOT of extras for me to consider buying them again

I was thinking that too. Be good news for me because I have no interest in the prison outfits. Starlords solo outfit looks so awesome I can't imagine not getting it

A lot of people wouldn't buy them again, they would buy them INSTEAD of the others.

Well not everyone is in love with this like you, or has the money to throw at it like you either. I'm sticking with their individual looks because so far they look awesome. And we don't even know if there will be a 5 pack
