While this is true, I just read that Alter Ego charges a 10% fee for preorders canceled after 14 days of placing the order. Not as hassle free as I had hoped but I may order from there to get the lower rate. I don't plan on wanting to cancel these two unless I have expenses when they come out and can't afford them for some reason.

No thats not good, but they are kinda left out in the cold if they ordered the stock, so I cant blame them, BBTS also has a strange interface, I cant seem to cancel orders on that site without doing a How to search

Preorders are pretty easy to cancel on BBTS. You just go to your account and click the button for preorders. Then you change the amount you want from 1 to 0 and click update. It is canceled after that.

I wasn't aware of the reward points discrepancy between AFX and Alter Ego. Thanks for the tip. Is there a waiting period after you get an item before you can use the AFX points? It seems my AE points are rarely available in time for my next order.

My experience is that they give you the RPs when you place the order, and before they even charge you for a pre-order I was able to use AFX points from a few pre-orders on another pre-order... very liberal policy it seems. Wonder what's to stop someone from placing a bunch of POs, getting points, using it on an in-stock item, then canceling the POs.

Btw while AFX seems to have a NRD for POs over $300 but they've never actually charged me, so I kinda treat them as a no-NRD shop. And yes they price match, I did that for Rocket and got the price AE was offering. Price match + liberal rewards points + no NRD = my shop of choice.

Now that I think of it. Will the two pack ship out the same time as the individual releases or will they come out at different times? Just wondering since I don't really care for the extra stuff and don't mind paying an extra ten dollars to get Rocket and Groot individually than getting the two pack. I just care about getting the figures as soon as possible. XD

Another thing with Shopafx is you can cancel at anytime as long as your order isn't in the processing stage. And if I'm not mistaken, if you use reward points on a purchase, you still receive points on the remaining cost.

I'm hoping the 5 pack rumour is true and they come in their team costumes, if that happened then I wouldn't be able to resist. Not a fan of the prison outfits (your not really meant to like prison uniforms tho...) and the individual outfits while great don't look as good to me as the team ones. Especially Rocket, he looks perfect in the team outfit but the orange while great is a bit too distracting. Gamora's normal outfit is the weakest imo, but still not terrible.

I'd prefer costume packs, as opposed to buying the figures again, coz if we get Team-Prison-Individual, then I'll have 3 of each character

Ah okay, well I'd only want one version so hoping for just them in the team outfits. If they dont do that then I'd at least like Star-Lord to come with this jacket as I prefer it to his long coat. Costume packs seem unlikely as they've never done them before but we are seeing a lot of firsts for HT recently...

could be a sideshow exclusive, that would be great, to get the jacket that way, I think he would sell out extremely fast

No way I'm buying two sets of figures. Just give me clothing and head sculpt packs and you'll get my money.
