Hot Toys HBII Hellboy and Abe Sapien 12-inch Figures

I reckon, for the price, the Sideshow Abe kicks alot of ass. He comes with two heads, has fins on the back of his legs, his whole body is blue. On the down side his boots are a rather undetailed rubber, has no wrist articulation, his neck is a little long and his suit is a material rather than a neoprene type costume. He's marginally taller than the Hot Toys version, by about a quarter to a third of an inch.

I know it is asking a lot... but any full shots. Honestly the Sideshow version is looking pretty damn good.

Yeah, the SSC one is taller and skinnier, which makes it a bit better already. The sculpt looks comparable too. Just the suit on the HT seems like a big improvement.

Taller and skinnier, but the proportions are off. The torso on the SS is shorter than it should be and it makes him look squat.

I've owned the SS Abe, and it was decent for its time, but it doesn't hold up When weighed against the quality of HT's outfit and body.

Granted, I don't have the HT Abe yet, and I'm excited to see how it stacks up bit for bit.

I put my SSC Kroenen on a Truetype body and I'm really pleased with the result. I'd to see another villain. Nuada would seem like an excellent choice for Hot Toys...interesting costume, unique face, cool weapon.
Of course, I will buy whatever they put out HB related so here's hoping....

I did the same swap, makes a big difference.

I did the swap but hated how pretty much EVERYTHING looked. The belt, the knife holster straps, the chest piece.. even the blades screamed cheap.

I weathered the straps and repainted the chest piece... looks loads better, IMO.
