This one is so... odd, but it really hasn't turned out bad. Still going to just be patient and wait for the eventual ESB version tho... bet they do a "McQuarrie" white repaint before that one tho, ha

I was trying to update some threads that hadn't seen much action recently. Some had dropped so far back I had to use the search function.

This one is so... odd, but it really hasn't turned out bad. Still going to just be patient and wait for the eventual ESB version tho... bet they do a "McQuarrie" white repaint before that one tho, ha

It is definitely odd, and yet appealing.

The Holiday Special left a lot of fans scarred for life... that living nightmare you desperately try to forget.

But this is Boba Fett history made real. And I think he'd really pop on display, because so much of Star Wars is black, white and muted shades.

The Royal Guard will be another welcome blast of colour.

Maybe if we saw the figure in more classic Holiday Fett poses it would draw more interest. He was the coolest thing about the Holiday Special after all.

I don't need this, but I want to get it for three reasons:

1. I like late 70'a early 80's weird America animation aesthetics.

2. I like the colors of the Holiday Special Fett.

3. I like knowing that people acknowledging the Holiday Special's existence makes George unhappy.

i can't get round the fact that it's a live-action figure repainted in animation colours. Every time I see it the word 'WRONG' appears in front of me.

I know why HT did a strait repaint of parts but I wish they would have actually made new parts that matched the cartoon a bit better. Something a little less detailed and rounded off on the armor, gauntlets, and helmet..........Plainer simpler sculpting maybe.

I plan on getting this figure if I can swing it, but I do totally agree with you guys. More rounded simple armor and jumpsuit with no pouches would have made a big difference!

Dunno, I liked the "live action" version of Clone Wars Anakin, Obi-Wan & Padme that Sideshow did.
