Hot Toys Holiday Special Boba Fett

i can't get round the fact that it's a live-action figure repainted in animation colours. Every time I see it the word 'WRONG' appears in front of me.

Well that's the Holiday Special for you. You just have to lean into it!

That reminds me of the half-circle/full-circle variant craze of the 90's Kenner figures.

I was in HS during the POTF2 years and I remember going crazy when I fount out there were two different lightsaber sizes for Vader

Those were grails hehe. Never knew about the unpainted saber. Must've stopped collecting for that time. I think i have a Holiday Fett with coin too somewhere.

Ohhh yeah, then you had to find the "short saber/long tray variations", and all the extremely minor packaging changes like font styles on "ages 4+" and stuff like that. Funny how nuts everyone went over that stuff.

lol yeah the unpainted saber was more than an error than a variation. I felt like I hit the lottery cause someone oferred me $100 for it. hahaha!

I've always been a Fett Junkie like many SW fans and having collected many/almost every version of Fett in more affordable scales draws me to this figure but this isn't one the the top need/wants of what I hope to be released in the next year or even some of the missed figures I'm still trying to get.

If it was Sideshow we would have gotten a Kenner exclusive paint deco. Like the Blue coat Han. Looks like they based the original designs on the cartoon.

Then changed it when they got closer to the movie design.

Totally! Happened with quite a few figures in the line, and still hapoend to this day (NECA's Alien Covenant line is a good example).

Oh, and I would buy this version of Fett as well. Ginme all Fetts! lol

Am I the only one excited about this upcoming PO this Thursday?! I know it's not a "movie" version, but is significant in the history of his origin as a developed character. Can't wait to add him!
