So if it took them a years to release the first one how soon can they make the second one

That's because they overhauled and redesigned the figure mid-way into production. Now that it's completed, should they release a jack-hammer arm version, it should be much quicker. It's only a simple arm swap, but who knows...

Bet retail on this version will be at least $300 more...if it ever gets made
HT loves to show things and never produce them

I feel like, and I can certainly be wrong on this, that of everything they've shown so far, this has a pretty good chance of actually being sold than say the Vulture. I don't think they really needed to do much to the mold to add the jackhammer gimmick. But, we'll see I guess.

I would put my money more on the Vulture because they actually went through all the trouble to make it long after the movies run ended. It's a lot of work for a one and done display from a year old movie.

The Falcon cockpit i can see as a one off. They can get a lot of mileage from it to display all kinds of star wars figures in and around it.

HB is like the Delorean and 66 Batmobile they can release it for PO Monday or 3 years from now, there is no rush. People will still want it.

Dude your correct, people dropping 2K on the first HB is going to make hot toys make more of these suckers!

So, is that IW Hulkbuster 2.0 they're showing at SDCC a new 1/6 scale or is it the Power Pose figure that was already revealed?

If that was how they did business they would have reissued A1 Hawkeye, milk war machine, rose hill stark, python and others back in the day. Secondary market prices are not what drives this

Exactly. There is a lot of things selling for above retail, Spiderman, MK 46 and 47, etc. I wish HT would make a new Blade figure because i really don't want to drop $500 on one but i know they won't just because it's selling for 3 or 4 times it's original price.

Ok, it has everything to do with this confirmed release that will be up for PO in the next couple of weeks. It would be great if it happens but we all know HT this will disappear and in it's place we will get a Jar Jar Binks DX set.

Like i said in some other threads of figures i really want to buy i like to keep my expectations really low so i will not be disappointed when something shown never makes it to PO.

That doesnt really have anything to do with aftermarket prices though... Obviously people are excited and expecting this V2, thus their holding off on purchasing a V1 till they know whats happening. so what we see is people not buying, so prices will cool, in addition people are listing it, hoping to get out of their investment before it (potentially) crashes due to a V2... is all speculation in the market right now, so it is pretty obvious this announcement has cooled the prices.

Not arguing with you or anyone it's just a friendly observation. I could be so very wrong and this could up for PO tonight for $600.

Think about how much they put out last year that is not up for PO yet and how much they put out this year that they need to put up for PO it is at 37 figures right now (not including HB or stuff they will never make like V2 Drax, SW, Vision, Valerian figures, etc). I'm just looking at mostly Star Wars, DC and Marvel figures.

They will introduce more figures at the shows overseas over the next couple months and some things we all want will just not get made. If this was a Retro armor type paint job or a full blown battle damage version with the ripped off arm, BD paint job and generally beat to s%$# armor then i would be more optimistic because that would mean they put some real work into it after the fact.

But since they are showning a old display piece i just can't get to excited.

Just me i hope it happens.

^ I dont either of us have claimed this is going up for order... Customizerwannabe just stated the prices on ebay were coming down, that all that was said... :lol

No way this would be less than the previous release, HT pricing doesn't work that way. I'd peg it at $999.99 or $1099.99

I have been fairly accurate with prior assessments on what would be released and what wouldn't, and to me, in my own humble opinion, HT will re-release a 2.0 Jackhammer arm version.

Well there it is ! Man I hope you're right. There's no way of knowing if it will be released until they do, but one would have to be very naive to think that even the displaying of this has no effect on the market.
