To be fair, we don't know how the Infinity Gauntlet was created in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It could be that it changes size to fit any wearer. It would be odd if an all powerful gauntlet was limited to a specific hand size. This isn't Cinderella.

One answer would be that HT identified them separately in the picture that you posted. He was Alex Murphy until he was blown to bits and then he became Robocop. The easier answer though is that it was a joke.

I know it would never get made. But I think this look is most like the comic book version, which I absolutely love. I never liked Josh Brolin Thanos.

That seems correct. Iron Man Mark 43 was at GOTG Thanos’ chin, and IW Mark 50 is at IW Thanos’ bicep. Do we know if the GOTG was even the right size? Maybe HT just didn’t have any real frame of reference so they had to guesstimate his size.

They are always provided data on character heights. With thanos since he is cg(same with iron man) they are provided the 3d models so they have perfect measurements on size. They just changed his size in the films. Downside of having different people in charge of films and designs/models.
