Says the guy advertising Colossus.

The way I saw it, "I dont need armor to crush these puny Avengers."

Agreed, I'm sure there will be some good details on the outfit choices in the "Art of the Movie" book when it comes out.

I mean, why would a practically all-powerful being need armor in the first place? That isn't to say his armor design isn't cool but man people are waaaay too concerned over what Thanos is wearing.

I really like his unarmored appearance for IW.

I know some people think it’s a bit boring, but it serves multiple purposes:

1. Thanos is comfortable enough going into battle with his casual clothes because he doesn’t believe anything will really legitimately threaten him or his ambitions right now. That he’s being so casual about fighting the Avenger’s and Earth’s armed forces is very menacing in and of itself.

2. They get to save his armored appearance for later, when they feel he needs it. Be it against an actual threat or to make a statement. I’m happier not seeing everything at once.

3. It seems clear that they want to dedicate a good amount of IW to establishing Thanos’s backstory, motivations, personality, etc. The almost regular clothes serves to humanize him and make him almost relatable by appearance alone. “Okay, so he’s not just a dude that sits in a hovering rock chair all day in armor. He wears normal clothes sometimes to run errands that leads to wiping out half the universe. Cool.”

This.

I took the plunge and ordered it. I figured I probably would whether they make an armored one or not, so why wait?

This has probably been already mentioned but my youngest daughter, after showing her the Thanos pics, said he looks like...

I just want a cool looking figure and to me the armoured Thanos is it.

yes, this one is bigger than the previous thanos, the figures were made according to data provided by marvels,
the secret base staff said may be the gauntlet make thanos grows bigger!

Except at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy he puts on the gauntlet and it already fits him. Seriously, don't put any stock into what Secret Base staff say. They have no more insider knowledge than I do.

You are indeed correct. It fits him already, without any infinity stones. Post updated with the correct film.

Also Thanos is big in the flashback scene with Gamora. The plain truth is Marvel changed the scale and they don't need any explanation for how or why. Its not just his scale thats changed, his skin tone, his facial structure. He doesn't have those lines on his upper lip now. He even sounds different. Hes gone from a cranky old man to a bro.
