I don't understand why people would get the original Mark II instead of the new AU version...? I know the AU version is not technically the real 'Mark II' Tony version but still...? Can someone clarify?

You just screw open the battery compartments right?
Cell batteries are available at a hardware store or at a watch dealer. Make sure you get the battery model/name right
