Forbiddenplanet.co.uk had this guy for being received in warehouse 18th December. I just checked to see if they have started the dispatch process but on the item page it now says it is on back order, which suggests that they had some in stock but they have been sent out? Mine doesn't say dispatched but neither does the Thor I got a month ago so there's a tiny bit of hope that it's in the post.

My Starboost arrived on tuesday the day after my MK 42, picking up the box i was suprised by the weight again when i took the figure out it was heavier than i thought it would be, after the 42 the day before i expected to get the its only plastic feeling that others have spoken of but i did not, i love this figure and it is now my favourite Iron Man

Forbidden Planet always do that, they'll guess a date & then either change it in the .com websites case or put it on back order in the .co.uk websites case, it just means they really have no firm date for stock..., they won't get any until a couple of months after Sideshow start sending orders out though.

They used to be really good on price, I don't know what's happened with the pricing now but I can't see them surviving indefinitely if they continue overpricing their stock. :(

FP.com are massively overpriced and so are their stores. It's my understanding that FP.co.uk is a different company entirely though.

I get my comics from them, but thats about it, since its the best place for me. I wouldn't buy much else from them unless its a signed exclusive or something..
I don't think there is much competiton with FP in the UK and Ireland but if there was, they probably wouldn't last long :lol

Collectibles Direct are better on price for most things I've found & Order Sixty Six Toys are good on price for figures, Direct Collectibles can be competitive on some things but the recent mark 43 preorder they put up on their website worked out at £294.00 :thud: where as Collectibles Direct asking price is £250.00 BUT shocking still is Forbidden Planet who want £299.99 + £5.50 for delivery?!? :horror

What, you mean buy it from them on eBay? It's always cheaper to buy it on their website (if I read what you said correctly). :)

Looks like starboost has some qc issues (along the lines of some parts on the left & right sides not lining up well) based on this guy's thread at Toys Daily:

Hottoys Ironman Mark 39 (XXXIX) Starboost QC

Have to say he/she was really observant to have spotted all that

wow thats fairly hard to spot......... and a little nitpicky :dunno
Still good to know

Yeah, doesn't look like too big of an problem, but still good to know and something to look for when the figure is in hand. Guess it could potentially be an issue with paint rub on that left hip, or even slightly restrict the articulation..........what I've seen so far with this figure though from people who have it already, it is looking immaculate and immensely well done/engineered.

Also first post after being a lurker for years! Good time to come outta the shadows :wave
