Still in disbelief.

So long as HT intends on making more than one figure every 10 years simply to maintain a stranglehold on the license, this is good news for head sculpts, shoes, weapons, scene specific accessories, and potentially bodies with actor-accurate builds/arms/upper torsos.

However, for a character primarily known for his fancy, finely tailored suits, HT are going to have to seriously up their game to rise to the challenge.
I guess the latest John Wick shows promise, and Artisan Joker of course.
They can do it when they really put some effort in; they just don’t do that nearly enough.

I struggle to choose a favourite Craig Bond look but the end of CR/ opening of QoS is up there.

Every Bond has their signature scene and look.

Well….let me get back to you on Dalton lol

Ok ok fine i’ll take his Gibraltor commando outfit.

HT better include the union jack parachute for Moore and the bungie cord for Brosnan lol

... I know it’s unlikely but could imagine if they did some 1/6 cars to pair with Bond. An Aston Martin DB10 paired with Craig Bond would be such a cool display!

21:50 - "With regards to new licenses and new IPs ...still high on my list are: K.I.T.T. Knight Rider, Jurassic Park, Mach 5 Speed Racer, James Bond [Aston Martin] DB5 ...all very much on my wish list." -Joost

2:01:46 Reaffirmed Top three 1:6 Vehicles (pending license) with best chance of being made -
KITT - James Bond DB5 - Mach-5
2:03:06 - On the Bond DB 5 (confirming if they secure license would include their own 1:6 figures)

I thought Jazz Inc was pursuing the license, and to do vehicles.
Looks like it got bought out from him.
Though I assumed he meant the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 classic, with Connery, yet it was likely the Craig 2019 Aston Martin DBS or DB10
Can we get both!

And it needs all the gadget details, why I was hoping Jazz would get the license.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

If given the freedom to produce whatever it wants, I expect Hot Toys would make Craig and Connery Bonds and then sit on the license for 10 years and do nothing. Hot Toys has a history of acquiring exclusive licenses to prevent other companies from getting them, sometimes making a few figures, and then doing nothing. Hot Toys rarely goes deep into licenses unless Howard Chan has a specific interest like with Star Wars.

However, if I remember correctly, Danjaq had some strict licensing requirements for Big Chief Studios dictating to some extent what should be made. So, maybe Hot Toys won't be allowed to sit on the license and do nothing for years (except at risk of losing the license) and will be obligated to produce more than just the most high-volume characters (i.e., not only the six Bonds or a subset of the most popular Bonds). The Bonds are iconic, but so are the Bond villains and girls. Also, unlike BCS, Hot Toys can absorb lower margins for lower production runs and won't run into the same factory issues that seem to have contributed to the closure of BCS.
