I remember seeing Kai'sa prototype with a fabric suit somewhere. Too much plastic on the final one. Should have been way way cheaper.
Yeah... well... welcome to 2024! That's just about the average price nowadays. Even for many unlicensed figures... It's sad but the figure market still seems to be going strong. Meaning people still buy this stuff regardless. If this was a Mondo figure it probably would have cost $350...For what it is? It’s $265 before any shipping and taxes.
She’s not covered in joints in the game. So I don’t think that’s valid still.Yeah... well... welcome to 2024! That's just about the average price nowadays. Even for many unlicensed figures... However, when I said "for what it is" I actually meant to imply that for a video game figure I think it looks good. If this was supposed to be a real human being I wouldn't be a fan of all the visible joints. I wasn't talking about the price tag.
You don't have to. With all the joints you can achieve some great poses without being afraid that the body will take damage. If she was seamless or covered in a full body suit people would immediately start to express their (valid) concern that you won't be able to do anything beyond a museum pose without the risk of the arms cracking or the suit ripping and peeling within a short period of time... This figure calls for some action poses after all and if you can't move it you won't be able to achieve any of those... And then people would point to Hot Toys' rather bad track record as far as durability is concerned... So... yeah...She’s not covered in joints in the game. So I don’t think that’s valid still.
