So you would pay $130 to $200 for a repainted P2 with a Gort Bio? And another $130 to $200+ for a repainted P2 with a Ram bio? If so cool. Do you. I think it's stupid and sad personally.

Well, I already have - I bought extra P2s and 'converted' the Ram and Gort preds using resin helmets. I basically only collect HT Predators, and a set of lost hunters is something I've wanted since the film came out. So, thanks for the insult. I fail to see how this is 'stupid and sad' in the context of our shared collecting hobby - one which many would label 'stupid and sad' in any degree.

If this IS the borg design, then hats off to HT for taking the hard option and doing the Predator with the lowest number of pre-existing parts (check out stills of the character - virtually nothing is standard with the hero Predators). In fact, it's so left of field that I would not be surprised to see a 'hybrid' design placing the borg head pattern on a standard P2 body with a Gort / Ram bio. But if HT will do Machiko, anything is possible...

Awesome, new predators, though when the hell are they going to release a Mike Harrigan figure. I hope they re-release the P2 Elder as well.

That's what the lost hunters are.. Stan Winston and crew used the same ^^^^ (armor, suits, heads, etc.) from their Predator 2 accessories and made small changes here and there, adding minor stuff etc. to make them. They're not fully formed "NEW" Predators. They're ALL P2 variations.

I think it's stupid and sad personally. If they were discounted.. heavily discounted then yeah, since they're using almost everything from their P2 figure. But imo it's just a quick and easy way to wallet rape you rabid collectors. If you don't mind though.. there's no problem.

The "stupid and sad" part refers to my first post in this thread, that HT and SS are just milking fans with rehashed P2's with some minor differences. I said at least make them discounted. Because full price for a rehash is garbage imo. Has nothing to do with the fans or collectors buying it. Read every one of my posts in here and you'll see me consistently saying id people wanna buy this or another lost hunter figure (if released) that that's cool. Try reading.. instead of skimming, seeing something you don't like and then getting defensive. Please.

...they're probably releasing the FIGURES, because the Predators have different skin colors, patterns, head sculpts, blah blah blah. I love the accessory pack idea, but I'd be really pissed to have every lost hunter have the same skin tone/body.

(disability = cant keep money in pocket when theres a juicy collectible looking at you.. saying "you know you want me.." )

Sorry, I'm no Figure Master Les. Sure, having all of the accessories to build a Lost Hunter would be awesome for me, but sadly, I'd have no BODY TO PUT THEM ON! AHH!

Which still, ironically, added up to more diversity than the 3 AVP lead Predators had. So there's a decent case for doing them, even if only for the completionists amongst us.

I see what you are trying to say - my apologies, then. Back on the subject, I still beg to differ; I've written to Hot Toys asking to see more P2 Predators, and I suspect that others will have done the same, so IMO all they're doing is reacting to customer feedback. Precisely because the Lost Hunters are a mostly a minor retool of the lead Predator, they can be done with a fraction of the effort that Machiko (for example) required. So there's nothing wrong with HT giving the completionists among us what we want.

I'm still rather surprised that this is coming ahead of the original Predator, though. I can only assume HT have something special in mind for that - Predalien-style posable mandibles, perhaps?

like i said, they're going for the jugular and people are spewing to buy a full figure. ss used to make accessory packs for their military figures. there was a lot of stuff for $20. let's just say $50 for a predator variant's accessories. would you buy them? with people paying as much as that for a variant pred mask alone, it's a no-brainer.
