Looking at Farmboy Luke, the amount of accessories would have been pretty similar.

But no one would buy a 2nd Tatooine Luke because a poncho is added or a stormtrooper belt. But Endor is a completely different look.

Exactly. How many looks and specific scenes did we get with that figure?

Farmboy
Poncho docking bay 94
floppy hat deleted scene
Falcon training helmet with remote
Death Star escape/ swing to freedom.

That was a packed release. This should have been the same.

Jabbas palace w cloak
Sail barge
Endor poncho
Final duel

Someone should add up the amount of accessories we got with that one and compare them.

Are you being for real? Swing to freedom as a whole different look? :lol

And counting accessories makes no sense -- Yoda has many and Leia had squat and yet she cost more.

No rhyme or reason it simply is.

Add another head sculpt or magnetic hair / helmet gear accessory, pair of speeder bike hands, poncho and display stand to Jedi Luke people think that'd cost an additional $30 😏

I hear what you are saying, but a poncho and a helmet is the only thing added to Jedi Luke to get Endor Luke. The only difference is the helmet, and Farmboy Luke had a hat too.

Both are just the same Lukes with just a poncho and a hat added, there are no other differences.

I'm not saying HT had to include it with the regular Jedi Luke, just that it really isn't too different from the farmboy example you gave.

They would want the poncho and the tall rifle.

I mostly agree, but it still feels like they made one figure where it's Farmboy Luke with poncho and hat/goggles and then a separate release that instead included the stormtrooper belt and Jedi helmet and training ball and gave it a different expression.

Already have the regular ROTJ Luke on order and if I had to pick one that would be the one so this will test how much I want these other parts. Ultimately it's because of the expression change that I don't really mind the two releases. If they went the Jyn Deluxe route there wouldn't have been a different expression in the mix. But I am concerned this version won't have a removable helmet, as then it really just become his speeder bike look moreso than an Endor look, which is so scene specific and pretty limiting.

Curious if they'll offer up a speeder bike--the Sideshow one was mostly incredible looking but had bent, cheap-looking and strangely shaped handle bars and the scale overall felt a little small.

Honestly, their real mistake was just the timing of it. Probably should have waited a bit longer to establish the Jedi version. Even Leia feels early, the Hoth version was just put up for pre-order a few months ago. Maybe that one was ready earlier but with Carrie's death it would have looked bad if it seemed they were rushing it out.

I'd rather know earlier so I can decide which version I want

I imagine very few will just want the Endor version. The face means you can't do a museum pose. And if there's no hair, you can't even do anything Vader related. You could have him brushing his teeth though.

You can't have him brush his teeth unless it comes with this...

I wouldn't imagine it'd be more popular than Jedi Luke...might be a limited exclusive that'll shoot its popularity up 😳

Ok maybe the amount of accessories, albeit the poncho hat and belt seem too much to add in for a single release, but it should have been at the very least a deluxe version. I mean boba fett got an entire sarlacc stand for Christ sake! I'm sure that cost more than a hat a poncho and a belt to manufacture. And they bumped up the price accordingly.

No sense arguing what hot toys is gonna do or not do. Just wanted to ***** about it and commiserate with you guys about it.

The key thing is that the helmet be removes le and they add a hairpiece. That being do you could always turn this into a DS2 Luke if you wanted another display option and didn't want to buy the other version.
