And Sleepy Hollow ,1/4 Predator, 1/4 T1 Terminator, not to mention lines with two figures or less like Expendables 2, Amazing Spider-Man, Metal Gear Solid that people want more characters from.

See lots and lots and lots with people waiting

Arkham before any of those, except Sleepy Hollow. We haven't seen any figures from that line, at least you've seen one or two from the ones you listed. Regardless of the scale, they've made a bajillion Predators, and the T-800 Endo just came out for Terminator.

Yeah, Arkham Bats and Returns Bats are my 2 most anticipated figures. I hope the Man of Steel license gets more respect than these have.

I'm hoping that they will treat this like The Dark Knight Rises. A fast announcement once Iron Man comes and goes and a quick release after the announcement. If all goes well, the movie will be as awesome as it's looking in the trailers and we will have a great Superman figure from the movie by September or October. We won't have to worry about die-cast paint chips or really skinny proportions. Plus, the price should be better because of a smaller likeness fee and minimum accessories. This is all highly wishful thinking, but you never know.

^^wishful thinking especially at the price being lower :rotfl we'll be lucky if this is $250 by today's going rate of things :lol

You are close and considering that it is such a big movie they most likely will offer at least one product this year and considering that they teased superman months ago my money is on the repeating what they did with Batman the dark knight and having them released before the year is out. The only other license that the have tied to a movie this year is Lone Ranger and that was a late announcement same time as GI JOE and GL JOE must have been in the works for sometime because they had 3 figures in the works

Remember their goal is to have as much of their product line ready to be showcased in or around the when the movie debuts inorder to capitalize on the all the hype surrounding the movie.

I am think possibly 5 figures from this movie not to spoil it but have a look at the Lego sets to get an idea of what the villains will look like.

Glowing red eyes that would be nice, have but I prefer they keep the costs down and not include a second head but still at these prices its high time the include a proper base and background

5 figures? Kal, Zod, Jor-el, Faora, and the other krytonian we havent gotten his name yet?

As far as price HT has to be realistic. If there is no PERS, 1 headsculpt, and no real accessories I cant see them going for more than $215. Storm Shadow has 2 heads and metal weapons and he's under $200.

I wonder what they could possibly include to justify that price for a dude whose only weapons or gadgets are his fists/eyes/mouth/feet. They showed a pic of a Mattel fig with the "key" to the Fortress of Solitude. Include something like that, a dio base, a second heat vision head, and, maybe, some CK gear, if that's the direction they take it in, and I'm game.

This film is the start of a potentially new breakthrough franchise for WB / DC.. so HT should capitalize (if they're smart enough) on the gravity of this release's importance. :exactly:

That key to the FOS could actually be a cool added bonus. It would be just like the Joker card or Batman's batarangs that came with those figures.

I wasn't being entirely seriousness with my price guess :wink1: :lol But I would be pleasently surprised if this thing is closer to $200 instead of closer to $250.

I mean look at X3 Wolverine. Only 3 pairs of hands and a special base and he's like what? $230 or $240? somewhere around there I think. Wolverine is an overpriced figure that wasnt even in demand. This is Superman from a highly anticipated movie (just as if not more than Iron Man 3) they could jack up the price just b/c of that alone. Not saying they will but look how many folks (myself included) thought that the BD IronMan MK7 was going to be less than the regular release and here is at $295. Price could really go either way. But one reason I haven't bought any figures lately is b/c of HT crazy prices and I want all the extra $$$ I need to be prepared for whatever HT ends up asking for these

I can't wait to see the reveal of this Man of Steel Superman figure. I'm hoping it isn't too expensive but I can already imagine it'll probably be around $250 at the least. I'm really only interested in getting Superman from the film and possibly General Zod as I'm not as huge of a Superman fan overall as I am of Batman and don't really need all the supporting characters.

I'm thinking that with his suit in the movie looking so convoluted that the HT suit will be similarly so.
And that the price will be high as a result.
I picture a "Wesker-style" glowing eyes headsculpt in addition to the normal head, and specialised rubberised suit, a flying base, and possibly PERS. The only reason i mention PERS is that how else could they justify the $300 price tag?
The BDMKVII has shown prices are only on the rise.
I can't imagine Superman will be cheap. He'll be *at least* $300, and they will have to justify that somehow.

I am with you on the heat vision HS. I hope it's a DX, but I am some what doubtful at the same time. Only time will tell though. All I know is that I plan to display my my MoS HT figure with these Magazines behind it.

I'm not disagreeing that Hot Toys is charging a lot for their figures but Iron Man is obviously their cash cow. They're milking it to death and fans eat it up which is why they can charge that amount for a Battle Damaged Mark VII.

With Superman I think while he's a popular character it probably won't be quite as high. I would guess he'd be around $250 and I think that would be high considering he probably won't come with a lot of accessories except maybe some special base and possibly a second head sculpt. His suit also doesn't seem that over the top and I wouldn't think it should be harder to design than any average figure. The Dark Knight Rises Batman was $250 and that came with a lot of stuff and Batman is a bigger property at the moment at least than Superman.

That's what everyone said about the BD MKVII.
It's got less parts! they said...
It will be cheaper! they said.

It wasn't...

$300 is the new $200 now.

I simply can't imagine a Man of Steel figure having that many, if any at all, accessories.

A second head sculpt is typically a factor for a higher price, but I can't imagine this having one.

Most of the Avengers figures averaged out at around $200 (it's all the Iron Man stuff that keeps getting more and more expensive), so I am not ready to write off the possibility of Hot Toys still producing sub-$250 figures for this line.

Thor was $199.99 and I think might serve as a fair comparison as to the complexity of a Superman figure: Cape, basic and not too terribly complicated outfit, single head sculpt, and minimal accessories.

But of course, they could make this a DX, and then all bets are off.

I just hope they don't make his suit out of rubber. :monkey4

It better be an intricately textured type of fabric - otherwise, no sale here. :lol

I hope the cape has no wire inside it just look unnatural.
