I watched the trailer for the first time just this weekend. I wathced it like 4 times. I'm really excited about this. I think it looks awesome. I wasn't really excited before but this looks like something a bit different for Superman. I think this movie is noe my most anticipated.

There's this image which certainly looks to be Jor-El.

As well as this one where it's behind what looks to be a Prometheus figure on the right.

Seems to be based off of this look.

it's been my most anticipated since the project got announced Feels like I've been waiting forever for a great superman movie

Yea I mean I've been a superman fan ever since watching a VHS of the Fleischer cartoons when I was crazy young and it's grown since then so I couldn't help but enjoy seeing a Superman movie on the big screen for the first time when Superman Returns came out. My gf at the time even said I looked like a little kid whne watching it I like it for nostalgic reasons and it has it's cool moments too I think though I'm not as harsh when giving movie critiques as some

Man of Steel however almost made me cry with that comic con footage it was so beautiful even in its out of focus youtube glory

And that's Kryptonian Armor on Zod

I thought the Plane rescue scene as well as Saving Metropolis and Lifting New Krypton were pretty badass as well. Doing the shot to the eye was pretty cool too since nobody ever aims at his face

I'm more a fan of the scene that follows that when he flies into space and smiles at the camera. That's actually one thing I wouldn't mind them retaining for this new franchise. I won't mind if they don't keep it, but I do think it's still a cool way to end a Superman film. This scene makes me wonder if maybe it will be included. Looks kind of similar to how the Reeve/Routh movies ended. Probably not, but you never know.

I'd be so jacked if they had used it - really adds to the trailer IMO. Looking forward to the new movie, but would love the theme to have stayed.

I cannot aruge with any of these. The plane rescue was the most interesting part of the film. The rooftop scene was just a cool display of his power. And Parker Posey would have made a better Lois than Kate Bosworth. Returns was just a bad film though all around. From creepy lurking Superman, to deadbeat dad Superman. i'm hoping this one makes me forget that last one ever existed.

Nah.. it's not a bad film.

There's much misfire - but there's much good too.

Singer had good intentions, his problem was that he was stuck in Donner lala land. Had he given himself a minute to take a step back from that rose coloured haze - who knows what magic may have unfolded.

Respectfully disagree with ya there Snake.

Sorry but the trailer was made very much less epic with the Williams theme. Instantly makes me think of Reeve and Donner which this movie shouldn't do at all. Unlike Superman Returns, this movie isn't trying to be like the Reeve films and for me, any notion trying to tie them together ruins the new one. Zach Snyder was right in not using anything from the previous films including the original theme. Just as the Nolan films got a new theme for Batman Begins, Man of Steel deserves a new theme as well.

We saw a ton of photos of the HT prototypes a couple of weeks ago. I can't say more except that they're very, very cool. I'll get them. Zack/Legendary/WB signed off on their approval. I think they might still be waiting on Cavill and DC, but that could be done now, too.

Also, I'm not sure when Hot Toys is planning to unveil/announce the first figure. I don't even think anyone over here knows that yet. They're kinda odd. Plus, they seem to be 99% dedicated to Iron Man right now.

Man I can't wait to display this with the DX 12. I didn't get Reeve and Keaton so I am pretty excited to have Bats and Supes together in my Besta! I think getting the SS comic versions would be pretty cool to display next to them.
