Does anyone any place you can still pre-order or buy this figure for a reasonable price? :) THANKS

was about to say alterego but they seem long gone. I got mine from them for 169+ shipping. Def worth it, but that was like... 2 months ago?

I would say if you can get it for 200 shipped or less jump on it. I remember before they went up on alterego they were going for 250 on ebay. For reference the figure was like...192? shipped from sideshow so 8 dollars more isnt a bad deal. But for 172 from alterego wo0o

I have the original version and i still love it...however, it's really tough to deal with the plastic look after seeing all the BD pics...but i just don't like how the chest piece looks on the BD...i don't know, i am torn...this darn thread is making me want to trade up...what to do, what to do???

i say if you dont plan on getting the Mark 4 then definitely trade up for this battle damaged version. Since Mark 4 pretty much got all the same features.

Hmm...i haven't really look at the Mark IV all that much...maybe i should take a peek, thanks for the suggestion.

the plastic look is the reason i got rid of my original Mark III , it's a figure that real can't justify his price

It has been show in the IMBD thread that nowhere in the movie is the color maroon. The color in this promo shot is simply wrong. Also would it never look like it's the color is plastic which the V1 sadly is. Of HT had at least painted this maroon color on it would hve been more acceptable but as is it looks like very plastic

In my opinion the Mk3 is much closer to maroon throughout the movie than the cherry red the BD is sporting. Maybe I'm color blind, who knows :lol I agree that there could have been a bit more gloss to the V1, but not as much as the BD. Somewhere in between would have been nice. But hey, to each their own!

What I've noticed about the BD version is that in a nicely lit room, it's not really as bright as it appears in pics with flash and bright lights all over the place. It's definitely a more subtle shade of red and to me, it's perfect. Plus, no pink abdominals to worry about:wink1:

normal lighting with fast lens, no flash, you are right as in flash photography killing any picture and the quality of the actual product. I still have to find that posting but you may really want to just go back and look at a few stills from the movie itself or even these shots of the actual suit in natural light. it's not even close to maroon. Only time when it hints that direction is when the suit is all banged up and it we are dealing with the dark scenes.

Honestly I don't remember the suit to be either color specifically. When ppl first showed that promo shot (which is likely CGI) I thought that color to be correct but then a fellow freak posted a few stills from the actual movie and it's nowhere near the maroon color and I turned my vote even more for IMBD. Nothing wrong with liking either color but if we are talking bout accuracy then IMBD wins in many ways but a few

And a Cherry colored actual Suit picture due to the flash used

Damn I saved all these pictures but not he film still :(

I absolutely agree-- the BD Mk III is the BEST thing ever put out by Hot Toys- pictures DO NOT do it justice until you see one in person. When I got mine my jaw dropped open...it is beyond magnificent!
